Upcoming patreon changes!

hey all! i can't believe it's almost been a full year since i've done the full launch of my patreon! i'm so proud of the community we've built and it's gone by SO fast! thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way!

i've been a full-time artist for over a year now and i'm so thrilled with how it's gone! it's done a lot for my mental health to be able to have a job that makes people happy and allows me to be creative. as i tend to do in my life, i have definitely over-extended myself with everything i've put on my plate! so making some changes to my patreon & schedule is one thing i've decided to do. i'd also like to have more time for one-off projects and possibly even taking commissions here and there!

here's what will change in 2024:

the tips & tutorial tier will become the "pattern" tier.

it was not my plan going into my patreon to do monthly patterns but i enjoy making them and seeing all of your plushies! i've decided to change the tips & tutorial tier into a monthly pattern tier.

• the tips & tutorial tier will be renamed the pattern tier
• the tips, tutorial & sticker tier will be renamed the pattern & sticker tier
• the cost of both will remain the same
• this change will be automatic and you do not need to take any action

patrons will be able to vote for the monthly pattern.

if you are in the pattern tier or $10 tier, you will be able to vote for the following month's pattern! it will be a list of animals/concepts that i'm interested in making, and you can vote for multiple options. the poll will be short and only last a few days, and subsequent tiebreaker polls will be held if necessary.

the polls will be one month in advance; so for example, on January 1 a poll will open for February's pattern reward, which will be delivered at the end of February. this will give me enough time to develop a plan & order supplies. it's important to keep in mind that you're voting for NEXT month's pattern! so in this example, if you pledge in january and vote in the poll, you will need to also pledge in february to receive the pattern that wins, if you would like it.

as the new tier name implies, i will be cutting back on the amount of tutorials i post.

i try to post at least one tip or tutorial weekly but it's become a LOT to juggle posting consistent tips, a monthly pattern, sending stickers, the ditto plushies, and balancing my shop & all other business activities on top of that. i will still continue to post tips & tutorials, but less frequently than before. all existing tutorials will remain on my patreon, accessible to those in the $5 pattern or $10 tier.

i will be continuing the sticker rewards as-is.

the sticker benefits will continue to operate as they do today and at the same cost. i have begun getting them produced by a company and my plan is to continue that going forward unless things change - i would rather spend my time making plushies than stickers!

i will be continuing WIPs as normal.

i'll continue to post frequent WIPs, sneak peaks, early shop announcements, etc!

i will be retiring the ditto plush tier in 2024.

i have already notified those in my ditto plush tier separately and i have mentioned this briefly a couple times, but i will be retiring this tier in 2024. i won't say that i'll never reopen it again! but it's very difficult for me to balance it on top of all my other responsibilities. if i do reopen it, it will come with some changes, like combining the US & international tiers into 1 tier to make it less confusing.

i genuinely appreciate everyone that pledged to my ditto tiers and supported me along the way!

shop updates will eventually become less strongly focused on seasons/holidays.

i'm at the point where sometimes i struggle to come up with new concepts that people enjoy that are themed for seasons/holidays, and i don't want to remake the same designs over and over again. so while i still plan to do some items related to the time of year (and to bring back some popular designs), expect to see some new, random ideas pop up in shop updates too!

this will help me with scheduling by being more flexible with shop update times. the end of the year is especially difficult for me juggling fall, winter, and valentines day updates back-to-back on top of having personal time for the holidays!
