Packing orders, burgle photos & pattern
Added 2023-06-06 21:27:17 +0000 UTChey all! this morning i packed up some koala cookie keychain orders - thank you so much to everyone who has checked them out so far! 🙏
i ordered burgers for lunch so i could take pictures of the burgle with a burger, too! 😌 🍔
after that i continued work on the burgle pattern!
making patterns is a lot of work for me. some people not familiar with plush patterns may think, "can't you just scan what you used and release it?" well, i could, but no one would be able to follow it 😅 a lot of plush makers use scrap paper/paper towels for their patterns. i also rarely ever label anything! when i revisit old patterns sometimes i have a really hard time figuring out what's what and how everything is supposed to fit together 🤣
i don't feel right selling messy patterns, so i do a lot of clean up work for my patterns. they are digitized and include both seam allowance and stitching lines, and notches/indicators to help with following instructions. that means a lot of testing and checking on my end to make sure that things line up and are in the right order! and that's all the work outside of the written instructions with pictures, and recording a video with audio for when i choose to make one of those to go along with the pattern!
i should be able to start sewing the burgle for the instruction footage together hopefully tomorrow! 🤞

2023-06-06 21:41:11 +0000 UTCI think it may be hard for some who haven’t made pattern instructions before to understand that selling patterns is not just making the pattern, but figuring out how to translate your mind, workflow, and thought process to someone else while not being able to work things through with them in person XD The Burgle looks so adorable, I’m in love with him <3
