Ch-26 The Arrival in Sunagakure

On the following morning, Uchiha Emiko and her companions set off towards Sunagakure. Thanks to their rigorous physical training, their journey was swift and they arrived at their destination by the next morning. However, rather than immediately entering the village, they decided to take a day to rest outside of Sunagakure before finally venturing inside during the evening.

Upon their arrival, they were greeted by none other than Baki himself, who escorted them into the village. After taking them to their accommodations, Baki informed them that the Kazekage wished to meet with them.

Emiko acknowledged Baki's words with a nod and then turned to her companions, instructing them to rest while she went to meet with the Kazekage. Accompanied by Baki, Emiko then made her way to the Kazekage's building.

As she made her way into the Kazekage's office, Emiko's eyes surveyed the room and immediately landed on a few individuals already present. Standing before her were some of the most formidable ninja in the land, including the youthful and energetic Might Guy, the enigmatic and skilled Hatake Kakashi, and the highly respected Uchiha Shisui, who was renowned as the most powerful member of the Uchiha clan.

Though there were others present in the room, Emiko's attention was only drawn to the aforementioned figures, for the rest were from insignificant small villages that were of little consequence to her.

"Kazekage sama, please allow me to introduce Uchiha Emiko. She is one of the highly skilled generals under the esteemed Uchiha Karan," spoke Baki as he presented Emiko to the Kazekage.

Uchiha Emiko acknowledged the Kazekage with a nod, following Baki's introduction.

With everyone present, the Kazekage began to explain the structure of the upcoming Chunin exams. The first round would be a written test, and those who pass would qualify for the second round - a race from one point of Sunagakure to another. Those who qualify in the second round will proceed to the final round, a one-on-one battle between contestants.

Rasa allowed the information to sink in before asking if there were any questions. A voice from the Grass Village spoke up, inquiring about the type of race. Kazekage Rasa replied, "The specifics of the race will be revealed during the exam."

Everyone present nodded in understanding before departing.

As Emiko emerged from the Kazekage building and began to make her way towards the accomodation, she heard a voice calling out to her from behind. Turning around, she saw a figure approaching her, beckoning her to come closer.

"Wait a moment."said Uchiha Shisui.

Emiko turned around and saw Uchiha Shisui with Kakashi and Might guy.

"Hello my name is Uchiha Shisui."said while looking towards Emiko.

Emiko just looked at him calmly without giving any reaction.

"Did Uchiha Karan also came with you?"asked Uchiha Shisui.

Emiko's response was prompt and dismissive, "There's no reason for him to come all the way here for such insignificant matters."

As Uchiha Emiko's words registered in his mind, Uchiha Shisui found himself momentarily speechless, his mouth agape as he struggled to formulate a response. "Ah!" he exclaimed, taken aback by her blunt retort.

Observing the stunned expression on Uchiha Shisui's countenance, Emiko felt compelled to elaborate on her statement.

"Perhaps for some, it may be an opportunity to showcase their younger generation's abilities. However, for us, it is merely child's play," she explained, her tone remaining steady and matter-of-fact. "That being said, I cannot deny that we do intend to exhibit the formidable power of the soldiers under Master Karan by participating in this examination."

Having made her point, Emiko turned and made her way towards the direction where her team had arranged to stay.

Uchiha Shisui, accompanied by Kakashi and Might Guy, trailed after Emiko as she strode purposefully towards her team's quarters.

Emiko turned around and spoke "Do you want to fight?"

Uchiha Shisui interjected, "Actually, our lodgings happen to be in the same vicinity. We are headed in the same direction." He directed his words towards Emiko, hoping to quell any potential misunderstandings or hostilities.

Uchiha Emiko raised a quizzical eyebrow upon hearing Uchiha Shisui's remark. The notion that Sunagakure may have an ulterior motive crossed her mind, but she refrained from commenting on it. Instead, she maintained her silence and proceeded towards her team's lodgings with a measured gait.

Upon arriving at the designated lodgings, Emiko was separated from Uchiha Shisui and his group, who were assigned their own quarters.

"So what did Kazekage said?"asked Matsuda.

Emiko proceeded to provide her team with a detailed rundown of the upcoming Chunin exam, outlining the various stages of the competition and what they could expect to encounter.

As she spoke, Emiko also recounted her encounter with Uchiha Shisui and his companions, giving a brief overview of their exchange. She emphasized the need for caution and the importance of remaining vigilant, particularly in light of their recent interaction.

Hiroshi voiced his concerns to the group, "Doesn't it seem peculiar to you all that everyone seems to be fixated on whether Master Karan will attend the Chunin exam in Sunagakure?"

He leaned forward, his expression conveying a sense of suspicion and apprehension. "It's as though they're all waiting for something, and it's making me uneasy."

Emiko acknowledged Hiroshi's observations, nodding thoughtfully. "Indeed, their behavior is cause for concern. But if they try anything suspicious, I will ensure that they pay a hefty price," she declared resolutely.

Out of nowhere, a group of five people materialized inside the room. "You don't have to worry about a thing. Tonight, we will conduct a thorough search of Sunagakure to detect any possible threat that might be lurking around," declared Eleventh.

After listening to the words of Eleventh everyone present in the room nodded.

Under the cover of darkness, five individuals stealthily traversed the streets of Sunagakure, scouring for any signs of potential danger. Their movements were quick and silent, and they moved in such a way that no other ninja would be able to detect them. Despite hours of searching, they had found nothing out of the ordinary. However, just as they were about to call it a night, Eleventh motioned for them to halt.

"Did you feel it?"asked Eleventh.

"Yes, This aura is too cold and eerie. This person is definitely a Kage-level powerhouse," twelfth declared.

"Ah, you're correct. Let's investigate and find out who this individual is," declared Eleventh as they headed towards the direction of the mysterious aura they had detected. The location happened to be a desolate region within Sunagakure, with only a decrepit house in sight.

Quickly making their way towards the dilapidated house, they caught sight of a figure resembling a snake. The person noticed their presence, turned towards them, and spoke, "Fascinating. Even I, Orochimaru, cannot determine the exact location of someone who possesses such exceptional stealth skills."
