"Please be careful," as an Uzumaki, she could sense that there were nearly 100 ninja surrounding the hospital at the moment.
.....
Few minutes ago.
"Killed! The Jonin leader has been killed!" cried a hospital worker who witnessed Karan commit the act, and proceeded to run outside while shouting.
Ninja 1: "What happened? Please speak clearly."
Hospital Worker: "Killed! Jonin leader was killed," he said, visibly shaken.
Ninja 2: "Who killed the Jonin leader?"
Hospital Worker: "A boy around 15 years old, I saw him with my own eyes!" the worker exclaimed.
Ninja 1: "Are you sure it was a boy?"
Hospital Worker: "Positive. He was standing over the Jonin's body when I saw him."
Ninja 2: "We need to verify this for ourselves. Show us where the body is."
After the worker showed them the body of the Jonin, the two ninja verified the worker's story and immediately ran towards the village head office.
While working on some documents inside his office, Zosui suddenly heard a knock at the door.
"Come in," he called out.
The ninja, appearing frantic and out of breath, rushed into the village head's office to deliver the urgent report. "Village head," he gasped out, "someone has killed the Jonin leader who was responsible for patrolling outside the village with his team. It's a dire situation, as the perpetrator is currently inside that woman's cabin."
Zosui's heart began to race as he listened to the ninja's report. He knew that the Jonin leader was one of the most skilled and experienced ninja in the village, and the fact that he had been killed was a major blow to their defenses. "Who could have done this?" he wondered aloud.
The ninja shook his head, clearly at a loss. "I do not know, village head. But we must act quickly before the situation gets any worse."
Zosui nodded grimly, steeling himself for the task ahead. "Gather the strongest ninja in the village," he instructed the messenger, "and meet me at the woman's cabin. We cannot let the perpetrator escape justice."
....
At present.
Uchiha Karan emerged from the cabin and laid eyes on Zosui standing outside.
"So, you must be the leader of this village," Karan asked, his tone steady and controlled.
Zosui's face registered shock as he spoke, "So, you're Uchiha Karan, a missing ninja from Konoha."
Zosui attempted to keep his cool as he asked, "Why did you murder a ninja from our village? And what brought you to our village in the first place?"
In a seemingly nonchalant manner, Karan replied to Zosui's questions, "Regarding your first query, I simply requested the village ninjas to guide me to Uzumaki Kaori's location. However, when they declined, I had to take matters into my own hands, and that is the unfortunate outcome you see before you."
"As for your second question, I came to your village in search of a skilled medical ninja to join our ranks," Karan explained, seemingly unconcerned about the gravity of his actions.
Zosui listened to Karan's explanation with a mix of apprehension and disbelief, wondering how someone could be so indifferent to the loss of life and the chaos they had caused.
"Zosui's tone was resolute as he declared, "Under no circumstances will we permit Uzumaki Kaori to leave our village, so don't even consider it."
Unfazed by Zosui's words, Karan retorted, "Don't delude yourself. I didn't ask for your permission. I came to this village solely to recruit Uzumaki Kaori, and she has already agreed to my offer. Your opinion on the matter is of no importance to me."
Karan's bold statement left Zosui feeling increasingly uneasy about the situation. He knew that Uzumaki Kaori is a very important asset of his village and losing her could have serious consequences for their village.
Karan's accusation hung heavily in the air, "It was you and the ninjas of this village who are responsible for Uzumaki Kaori's current miserable condition. Therefore, I will be the one to exact punishment on her behalf."
Karan's words were chilling as he spoke, "Considering that you used Uzumaki Kaori to heal yourself and the other ninjas present here, I will make sure that none of you remain alive. I will be taking back the lives that she gave to you."
Zosui felt a shiver run down his spine at the cold determination in Karan's voice. He knew that this was no idle threat and that he needed to act quickly.
Karan drew his sword and entered Thunder mode, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous intensity.
He charged towards Zosui, who deftly parried Karan's sword with his kunai. However, as soon as the two blades made contact, Zosui's kunai was sliced in two. Realizing the danger he was in, Zosui swiftly jumped back, taking out a handful of shurikens in an attempt to create some distance between himself and Karan.
Before he could launch his attack, Zosui felt a searing pain in his chest. Looking down, he saw Karan's sword piercing through his heart. With disbelief and unwillingness in his eyes, Zosui whispered, "When?" before succumbing to his injuries and falling to the ground lifeless.
Karan pulled his sword out of Zosui's body and wiped the blood from the blade with a cold expression on his face.
Despite his position as the leader of the Grass ninja village, Zosui's strength was no match for that of an Elite Jonin. Moreover, coming from a smaller village, Zosui was undoubtedly weaker than Elite Jonins from major villages. For Karan, taking down Zosui was a simple task, given his superior strength and skill.
Karan's killing spree did not stop after taking down Zosui. He went on a rampage, mercilessly slaughtering every ninja who surrounded the hospital. It was a unilateral massacre, and the other ninjas had no chance against him.
Some of the ninjas tried to flee, realizing that they were no match for Karan's overwhelming power. "No, run! He's a monster!" they cried, desperate to escape his wrath. Others urged their fellow ninjas to flee as well. "Run! We are no match for him! He even killed the village head! We must flee before he kills us too!"
Despite their desperate pleas, Karan did not stop. He continued his rampage until there was not a single ninja left alive in the vicinity of the hospital. When he finally stopped, the ground was littered with the bodies of those who had tried to stop him.
After 15 minutes he returned in front of the cabin where Uzumaki Kaori was and spoke
Fifteen minutes later, Karan returned to the cabin where Uzumaki Kaori was waiting. "Let's go. I have already wasted enough time here," he said to her. "But you are not in a condition to travel on your own. Let's rent a carriage."
Uzumaki Kaori nodded in agreement and followed Karan to a nearby rental place. Initially, the owner was hesitant to rent out the carriage, but as soon as he sensed the aura of power emanating from Karan, he quickly changed his mind and allowed them to rent the carriage.
Karan faced no opposition in the Grass Village, as no one was foolish enough to confront him. He left the village with Uzumaki Kaori in the rented carriage, and encountered no difficulties on the way back to the River Country. Even when they were accosted by bandits, Karan killed them with ease.
After a week-long journey, they finally arrived at the Daimyo mansion in the River Country.
