Following their lunch, Uchiha Karan addressed the Daimyo with a request. "My primary objective is to ask that you gather all of the ninjas employed in your mansion so that I may identify any potential spies among them," he said.
The Daimyo appeared thoughtful as he responded, "I understand."
He then turned to address Fura and commanded, "Please gather all of the ninjas within the compound."
Fura promptly responded with, "Yes," and proceeded to carry out the request.
"I want to recruit 1000 soldiers and their age should be between 10 and 12."said Uchiha Karan.
Karan expressed his desire, "I aim to enlist 1000 soldiers, and I prefer their age to be between 10 and 12."
The Daimyo was perplexed and questioned Karan, "I comprehend your need for soldiers, but why such young recruits? During your first visit, you mentioned your intention to train your army, but I am puzzled as to why you would choose children aged 10 to 12."
"I understand your concerns, but training them at a young age will mold them into loyal soldiers who can be trained according to our needs," replied Uchiha Karan calmly.
"Besides, they are at a growing stage, which makes it easier for them to adapt and learn."
"I see your point, Uchiha Karan. By training them at a young age, we can shape them into devoted soldiers who can be molded to fit our requirements," responded the Daimyo, his tone indicating his understanding. "Furthermore, their youth provides an advantage as they are more adaptable and receptive to learning."
"Announce that they will be given a salary of 5,000 ryo per month during their training period, which will last for 6 years. I don't think you would have a problem with this amount of money," said Uchiha Karan while looking at the Daimyo.
"Uchiha Karan, I understand your proposal," replied the Daimyo, nodding his head. "We will provide a monthly salary of 5,000 ryo to these individuals during their six-year training period. I assure you that the cost will not be an issue."
Uchiha Karan reassured, "You needn't worry, as I will personally hunt down those missing ninjas in the future. Furthermore, we can also use the rewards offered on the black market for their capture."
The Daimyo was relieved upon hearing Uchiha Karan's words.
Karan turned to his five generals and delegated, "You will be present during the army selection process. I trust that you will all make wise decisions during the army selection process. You have my full support and I have faith in your abilities."
As he watched the five children, the Daimyo couldn't help but feel a sense of amazement. If anyone else had appointed such young individuals as generals, he would have found it laughable. However, Uchiha Karan had chosen them himself, which meant that there must be something truly exceptional about them that he was unaware of.
Fura arrived and informed Karan, "All the ninjas have gathered outside the compound. You may take a look, my lord."
Upon receiving Fura's report, Karan accompanied by Daimyo, ventured outside the compound to witness the gathering of around 30 ninjas arranged in an orderly fashion.
With no nonsense talk, Uchiha Karan activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and casted a genjutsu on every ninja in attendance. He then commanded, "All traitors reveal yourselves." Upon hearing his voice, the ninjas began to move and 11 of them stepped forward and stood like puppets.
As Uchiha Karan surveyed the group, he realized that almost one third of the ninjas present in the mansion were traitors. The Daimyo's face contorted in disgust at this revelation.
Uchiha Karan, with an air of authority, questioned the group of eleven ninjas, "Which one of you sent news about me?"
After a moment of silence, one of the ninjas stepped forward, presumably admitting to the deed.
Uchiha Karan, ever the strategist, probed further, "Which village was responsible for this?"
The ninja responded in a flat, emotionless tone, "Sunagakure."
Without hesitation, Uchiha Karan commanded, "Okay, all of you can kill yourselves."
The group of ninjas immediately drew their Kunai and, one by one, plunged them into their own bodies, taking their lives.
Watching this unpleasant scene unfold, the Daimyo and other observers couldn't help but feel unnerved, as they had never witnessed such a brutal and unwavering display of obedience.
Daimyo broke out in a cold sweat as he recalled Karan's words from the previous night. If he hadn't surrendered to Karan, he might have ended up like those ninjas. He would have been forced to either take his own life or hand over his position to Karan, effectively becoming a puppet of the Uchiha leader. He felt lucky that he had accepted Karan's offer.
Upon seeing the face of Daimyo, Karan comprehended his thoughts. This action showcased Karan's strength, which could have previously been doubted by Daimyo. However, any uncertainty regarding Karan's strength should now be cleared.
Uchiha Karan and Daimyo stood facing each other in the grand hall of the mansion.
"Okay now that the matter about spies from other countries or villages are solved. We should be going," said Uchiha Karan, breaking the silence.
Daimyo concealed his shock, let out a deep sigh, and responded, "I never expected to have so many spies in my mansion."
"You don't have to think too much about it," Uchiha Karan reassured him, "as large village can never watch a small village grow beyond their control. The lesson of Rain country Demi god Hanzo is still there."
"I know," said Daimyo, his voice heavy with resignation, "but it's frustrating to be powerless against them."
Uchiha Karan nodded sympathetically, "I understand how you feel, but we must focus on what we can control. Let's ensure the safety of your people and work towards strengthening your country."
Daimyo nodded in agreement, "You're right. I can't let their actions dampen my spirit."
Uchiha Karan inquired, "Can you provide me with the approximate location of the missing ninjas, especially the high-level ones?" after noticing Daimyo had calmed down.
Daimyo: "Certainly, I can have Fura bring you the list of missing ninjas we have information on."
Karan: "Thank you, Daimyo."
(Karan then turns towards his Generals and shadow guards)
Karan: "I will be leaving for a while, it may take one week. I have to go to the Grass village. So practice well while I am out."
Aiko: "Understood, Uchiha-sama. We will make sure to train hard in your absence."
Shadow Guard: "Is there anything we can do to prepare for your departure, Uchiha-sama?"
Karan: "No, everything is already taken care of. Just make sure to keep everything in order while I am away."
