Ch-4 New Hokage?

At the same time in Uchiha family compound

Uchiha Fugaku's angry gaze bore down on Uchiha Takoma, the second elder of the Uchiha family, as he asked in a frustrated tone, "Don't you have any power to stop your own son from leaving Konoha? After all, you are his father, how could you have allowed him to leave?"

Uchiha Takoma, the second elder of the Uchiha family, remained silent in response to Uchiha Fugaku's frustrated inquiry. With a calm expression on his face, he realized that any words he spoke would be futile. At that moment, he felt unable to voice his emotions, already weighed down by his own sorrow at his son's departure from the village and his disappointment in Uchiha Fugaku's decision-making abilities.

Uchiha Fugaku found himself at a loss as Uchiha Takoma remained silent, unsure of how to proceed with Uchiha Karan's rebellion. The presence of the Nine Tails, which possessed the Sharingan, was already a source of great concern for the Uchiha clan. But with Uchiha Karan's defection and the killing of Root members, the situation had become even more precarious. This turn of events would undoubtedly give Danzo yet another chance to suppress the Uchiha family. Uchiha Fugaku was well aware of the danger they were facing, and the pressure to make the right decision was overwhelming.

In that tense moment, an ANBU operative arrived and interrupted the conversation, declaring in a low voice, "Hokage-sama has called for an urgent assembly tomorrow morning, requesting the presence of all clan leaders and jōnin." The gravity of the situation deepened as the announcement echoed in the room, and Uchiha Fugaku's mind raced with anticipation of the meeting. He knew that the impending gathering would address the critical issues facing the village and the Uchiha clan, and he braced himself for the challenges ahead.

"Yes, I'll be there,"responded Fuguku.

The ANBU operative wasted no time and left swiftly after receiving Uchiha Fugaku's response. There was an air of urgency in the atmosphere, and every moment counted in such times of crisis.

Simultaneously, every clan received orders from the Hokage to attend the urgent assembly, and each one responded with a resounding affirmation of their attendance the following morning. It was a time of great importance, and the gravity of the situation was not lost on anyone.
......
Morning arrived.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Hokage, was seated in his office chair with Konoha elders Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane, as well as Root leader Danzo Shimura, by his side. Meanwhile, family patriarchs, representatives, and jonins were all seated parallel to each other.

"The loss of Fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato and his wife Uzumaki Kushina has been a heavy blow to us, as well as the comrades we have lost. Nevertheless, we have remained strong and are striving to overcome the challenges we currently face." said Third Hokage in a sad tone.

"While we must certainly arrange a proper funeral for them, Hiruzen, it is also true that a village cannot function without a Hokage. However, with no suitable candidates available, I suggest that you resume the position of Hokage once again."said elder Homura.

Danzo's face contorted with displeasure as he listened to Homura advocate for Hiruzen. He had hoped that after the death of the Fourth Hokage, he would finally have a chance to become Hokage. However, it was now apparent that these individuals had no intention of making him Hokage and instead wanted Hiruzen to assume the position. Although Danzo was reluctant, he realized he was powerless to change their decision.

"Hokage-sama, we respectfully request that you take on the role of Hokage once again."

"Yes, now no-one is better than Hokage Sama to take the position of Hokage."

One after the other, the people spoke, aware of the inevitable reality that Hiruzen would become Hokage. By showing their support, they hoped to earn the favor of the Hokage. It seemed like a wise move.

"I will heed your words and use my seasoned experience to bolster Konoha village during this crisis. From today onwards, I shall assume the role of Hokage until the next generation is prepared to take the helm."said Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"Now that the issue of the Hokage position has been resolved, let's turn our attention to the grave matter of the Nine Tails. How much devastation has it wrought and how many of our comrades have fallen as a result?" inquired Danzo, his gaze shifting towards Uchiha Fugaku, whether deliberately or inadvertently.

As Danzo's gaze shifted towards Uchiha Fugaku and the second elder of the Uchiha, many individuals followed suit and turned their attention to their position. Not knowing how to respond to the scrutiny, Uchiha Fugaku elected to maintain his silence.

Danzo's tone turned sharp as he announced, "Furthermore, Uchiha Karan has eliminated five members of the Root and defected from the village." He then raised his voice, "If he possessed such power, why did he not lend aid to the Fourth Hokage?"

"It was you who prevented the Uchiha from supporting the Fourth Hokage. We were not even permitted to approach the battlefield and were instructed to retreat to the shelter," countered the Second Elder.

"Hmph, that does not justify your son's decision to turn traitor and slay fellow comrades of the village," remarked Elder Koharu Utatane.

"I know you all think that someone from our clan controlled nine tails and reacked havoc on konoha village but I assure you that no one from our clan did such thing and as for the rebel Uchiha Karan we willing to contribute in search and capture him back to the village. Rest decision remain with Hokage Sama."said Uchiha Fugaku.
As he knew if he doesn't make things clear then Danzo and these elders will continue to pour dirty water on Uchiha clan.

In response to the group's belief that a member of their clan had controlled the nine tails and caused chaos in Konoha village, Uchiha Fugaku spoke up with conviction. He reassured them that no one from their clan had perpetrated such a heinous act, and furthermore, pledged the clan's cooperation in the search and capture of Uchiha Karan, the rebel in question. Fugaku left the decision regarding Karan's fate to Hokage Sama, but emphasized that the Uchiha clan would do everything in their power to assist in his apprehension. Fugaku understood the gravity of the situation; if he didn't set the record straight, Danzo and the elders would continue to besmirch the Uchiha clan's reputation, and the consequences of such false accusations would be dire.

The Third Hokage expressed his agreement with the patriarch of the Uchiha clan's statement and commended their willingness to assist in the capture of the Uchiha rebel, Karan. He went on to announce that Karan would be officially designated as an S-class rebel, indicating the severity of his crimes.

Uchiha Takoma was sad but he knew he couldn't do anything as this was the his son chose for himself.

Following a deliberation between the Jonins and Hokage, it was agreed that everyone would assist in the reconstruction of Konoha village. As a show of solidarity, the Uchiha clan was requested to relocate to the outskirts of the village. Uchiha Fugaku did not resist the village's demands, and even Sarutobi Hiruzen refrained from expressing any objections, which could be interpreted as an implicit endorsement of the clan's relocation. The other families were pleased with this outcome as it would likely result in more benefits for them than before.

The meeting concluded with the classic invocation of the "will of fire." As everyone began to make preparations to depart, an Anbu member suddenly entered the room and delivered urgent news to the Third Hokage: "Master Hokage, something has happened to Shinnoske-sama."
