Great movie and great reaction Jax!! Something I noticed is that twice Etta says she won't watch them die, she loves them too much to do that and I think by the end of the movie, the audience loves Butch and Sundance enough that we don't want to see them die, and we indeed don't! America has always had a interesting fascination with the outlaw. You look at Old West outlaws and gunslingers like Billy the Kid, Curly Bill, Johnny Ringo, the James Gang, and even into the 20th century with criminals like John Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde, Pretty Boy Floyd, and others. They became these cultural icons.
