(Full Reaction) The Great Mouse Detective

This was one of the cutest movies I have ever seen. It also had some big jump scares! Please tell me I am not the only one who fell for them 😂

I wish they made a follow up to this film. There was such a wholesome quality to this story and the references to Sherlock Holmes were great.

This is also the last reaction I filmed in my old place. Be prepared for blank walls, TV trays, and beach chairs in the next reaction!

Now you need to go into Sherlock Holmes with RDJ and Jude Law seeing as you enjoy mystery

So this came out in 1986, the year I was born, and Jax, the way you said it was so long ago, that felt great! haha Vincent Price as Ratigan was just perfect! Impossible to imagine anyone else playing that role that well. He's up there with Robin Williams as Genie and James Woods as Hades as pitch perfect casting. Would love to see you react to Jungle Book!! Was my favorite movie as a kid and it still is to this day! This is actually a rather important movie. It's the first full length film to use computer animation in a major way for the gears in the clocktower. Funny enough, the movie Young Sherlock Holmes that came out in 1985 was the first movie to use a fully CGI character so it's funny that 2 Sherlock Holmes movies are big benchmarks for computer animation. In addition to that, this movie is credited with kicking off the Disney Renaissance. The late 70's and early 80's were rough and the Disney animated movies were not doing well at the box office and when the Black Cauldron bombed, it was thought that maybe the time for those movies had ended, but then this was a big hit and it was also a hit with critics and that gave Disney renewed faith in animation and 3 years later Little Mermaid came out and it was off to the races for Disney. And the directors of this movie, John Musker and Ron Clements went on to direct that movie as well as Aladdin, Hercules, Trasure Planet, Princess & the Frog, and Moana!
