(Full Reaction) Jaws

Jaws is a legitimately terrifying movie! I found myself clutching my legs, hoping they would be saved from a terrifying shark attack. Despite this movie being decades old, it still holds up!!

Happy early 4th of July! Hope you aren't too afraid to go to the beach after this.

Watched on: Amazon Rental / Runtime: 2:04:45

(FYI: I hit a snag when filming this and so the beginning starts at the old school Universal logo. I give an example during my intro. I start 56 seconds into the rental. It's also available on Peacock and should sync up right after the anniversary intro.)

Haha! That jump scare, I laughed so hard by the way you jumped like you saw a centipede

Being old school I love this movie so much. Today we are on a sound stage with green screen and the shark is CGI. Imagine all the boat scenes are on the ocean. Yes probably close to shore many times but still. And we have a mechanical shark operating in the actual ocean. Just imagine how hard this movie was to make. Also I don't think the shark was hungry in the end, it simply wanted to get these men lol. This was perhaps the first summer blockbuster although at this time, 1975, I don't think the blockbuster concept existed. This movie started the blockbuster concept and two years later Star Wars cemented the deal.

Such a wonderful reaction. As your reactions usually are :)

50 years ago, 1975.... yes it's the anniversary year. Unfettered capitalism at is best demonstrated by the town council especially the mayor. Woodshole Oceanograohic Institute. This movie could easily neve been called, "nommy, nom, noms"... , or "über eats your neighbours".
