(Full Reaction) The Good The Bad and The Ugly

I can see why this is considered one of the greatest Westerns of all time. The score is not only iconic but so catchy! The cinematography is stunning and the acting is brilliant. I didn't realize it until halfway through the film but Tuco is played by Eli Wallach, who was in The Holiday. I'm amazed at his incredible acting performance. Clint Eastwood also does an incredible job, despite having very little dialogue.

While the movie's length can be felt, and it does movie at a slow pace, the movie leaves a lasting impact. It's the perfect mix of humor and grit. Definitely a must-watch.

Finally had the chance to watch this reaction. This movie has one of my all time favorite scores. I was in my high school's orchestra and one year we played Ecstasy of Gold for our year end concert. The song had no significance to me at the time. I was in the percussion section and played the chimes. My grandparents came to the concert and afterward my grandpa insisted on showing me The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. It's been one of my favorite movies ever since. The cemetery scene might be my favorite scene in all of cinema. I never made the connection that the actor who plays Tuco was in The Holiday. Good catch! My mom, sister and aunt watch that movie around Christmas every year. Sometimes I will watch it with them. While it is not one of my favorite movies, I find it far more tolerable than the typical Hallmark Christmas movie.

This soundtrack was incredible! I'll keep that in mind when I check out all the Star Wars content. ❤️

Ooh! That's makes sense as to why there was so much dubbing!

Of course that iconic soundtrack is I riginal to this movie, and like many of Clint Eastwood's 1960s colour movies it was filmed in Spain, the classic spaghetti western. The character of Cad Bane the mercenary in the Madelorian, Star Wars Rebels, Book of Baba Fett was modeled off of Clint Eastwood's character in this movie or The Man With No Name.

Stan Johnston

As befits as "spaghetti" western, most of the Italian cast's dialog was in Italian, hence the English dubbing for them. I think the pacing of the film was driven by Sergio Leone's ideas of a grand epic. Thanks Jax!
