Jax: "Do you agree that power just makes a person more of themselves?"
They also say that about Money - It just amplifies your existing qualities and flaws, no substitute for personal development. And of course they do say Money is Power, so maybe the two statements are the same!

To answer your question, within this universe, it is stated that the serum amplifies what is inside the person who takes it. Dr. Erskine stated "Good becomes great, bad becomes worse."
(Edited to add:) Zemo is standing at the memorial to all the Sokovian lives lost to the fight with Ultron, not his family's grave.
The Raft is the prison in the middle of the Ocean where Clint, Scott, Wanda, and the others were imprisoned at the end of "Civil War."

What a great analysis of the show! The way Isaiah was horrifically experimented on is heartbreaking, especially when we see how Steve was treated. While I adore Bucky, I'm so glad that Sam gets to carry on the legacy of Captain America.

I don't know why I assumed he'd already been given it. That make more sense!

Going into this show i really wanted Bucky to take the shield as the new Captain America, He better than anyone in the world at that time knew what it meant to carry it. Bearing his bestfriends legacy as penance for all the pain & suffering that hes caused onto others .. Then Sam heard Isaiahs story.. & i was convinced Sam needed this. He deserved it. The nation does. The reason this show was polarizing was due to the political complexity & sensitivity the topics they touched on were to real world events. Isaiah Bradleyโs story weaved itself so well with actual American injustices that happened to African Americans post WW1. Isaiahโs story is literally the same story as Captain America 1. Both are grounded & are not allowed to save their captured friends. They both bust out & save them. The difference is Steve is awarded a medal & a specialized team to fight the Naziโs. Isaiah gets wrongfully imprisoned & is relentlessly experimented on without his consent for 30 years. Such a very wrong & very real double standard. The show is a mixed bag for most. I found it to be very profound in sporadic moments. The Flagsmashers & Powerbroker narratives are definitely what tank it for me, but John Walkers character arc is a more realistic take on a supersoldier. It could have been a very likely outcome if Doctor Erskine never met Steve. He would have been forced to give it to a good soldier rather than a good man. So good. Glad youโre enjoying the show Jax!!!!

Dunno if somebody mentioned this already, but just fyi, Walker didn't get super soldier serum until the stuff he found in ep 4.
