Costume Color Variations

There's a lot of stuff here so the video is really long. I'll put some time stamps at the bottom if you only want to see specific parts. I think Patreon has an option to change the playback speed on videos, so you can also try speeding it up if you want.

On top of the 30 costumes we made for the game, we also made alternate costume colors for every costume. Generally each costume has 13 variations: one default, one unique alternate, one for each of the 8 player colors, as well as metallic bronze, silver, and gold. Some outfits actually have a bit more variation though because in some costumes it's hard to tell which player color is wearing the costume when the face is covered by a gold costume or something. So we made some small changes to help with this, like the color of the shield on the knight's back for example.

The color variations will be unlocked like how gun skins work in some of the Call of Duty games. You have to complete certain challenges wearing the costume, and then you can start unlocking the other variations for it. Some of the challenges will be things like using a costume X amount of times, or place 1st / 2nd / 3rd X amount of times (for the gold, silver, and bronze variations).

NOTE: You'll also see some costumes with X's on their eyes. That's not part of the costume, it's part of the rig for the character. There are some actions where his eyes change out to X's, like in the nurse's victory animation.
