Big Interaction Updates Coming Soon!

Currently, the mod operates by connecting in-game interactions with “interaction descriptions” to feed into the AI system. These descriptions are composed of both "pre-actions" and "actions," with the pre-actions being invisible to the player but serving to point the AI in the right direction about the current interaction. The action being visible to the player.

To achieve "good" results, we've been using randomized sets of "good" actions as starting outputs. However, you may have noticed that this can lead to repetitive outcomes in common interactions, such as "Friendly Introduction," and sometimes generate responses that don't align with the existing game events or your Sim's personality.

Our ongoing efforts focus on removing actions completely and only using the pre-actions, which remain hidden from the player. This is a more challenging endeavor as it requires careful crafting of prompts to consistently generate high-quality outputs. The end result is a more unique, cohesive, and immersive interaction that is relevant to your Sim/s and what is currently happening in your story.

The key to our success has been using a special unique prompt for new “first” interactions, then using the normal prompt for when you “Continue” the interaction. The first prompt includes something like "Rewrite the user action as a story" (the concealed pre-action you don't see). This consistently generates a good output for the new interaction. When you proceed by clicking "Continue," we use a different prompt that essentially instructs the AI to "Continue writing the story." This approach consistently gives amazing narratives for both the initial interaction and subsequent ones.

@JazK and @ScottA , have been diligently mapping out nearly every interaction in the game, including those from ALL expansions. We are currently fine-tuning these interactions in the final stages of development and we are excited to unveil this new chapter of gameplay soon!
