Thought I would share some of the intellectual and spiritual reasoning behind my decision to become a YouTuber. Not sure if it is interesting to folks, but why not?
It is definitely tough all over the humanities. Still, if I had to do it again I certainly would. Getting a doctorate (the whole graduate school process, really) was extremely worthwhile and plain fun.
Professor Skye's Record Review

When you talk about how hard it is as a languge Professor I wonder if you wouldn't agree that it is more about the humanities dying than the langauge departments dying? I am writing my Philosophy dissertation right now (2 years to go) and the job market/ academic field is as dire as you describe it for the languages. But than again I am doign my PhD in continental Europe so maybe thats the difference?
Would also like to ask if you would ever to a review of the new Netflix show "The Chair". Wonder if you can recognize the struggles or you think it is too fictional! Especially since you are the chai now
I also see myself a lot in Stella! I also got my know-how early on when I was 14-15 from those Essay-type videos on youtube about video game and similar and got more and more into abstract discourse and am now in Academic Philosophy! Also why I love your channel so much - you are recognize the educational value of the platform on a whole nother level than other people have.

Thanks, Lee. That smiley β¨π€ͺ represents the whole gamut to me from a βcosmic awestruckβ to flat-out crazed. Nice to see you in the comments. π

Appreciate the insight. When discovering a new channel, I often watch the first videos to see if they talk about the reasons for creating.
So this is very welcome.
But the cliffhanger is killing me, especially when you don't know when the next part will come out π€ͺ.
(Love that smiley, Michele)
