Finally The DQ3 update

I finally got the last cg done for the update, you can now complete the game's first two routes.  I will really be in need of some feedback this time round.


At the moment i'm severly sleep deprived because I couldn't sleep even though i was tired. so for the last 3 hours i've been wrestling with sai to try and get something done. after several failures i finally managed to get one done, but i had to rewrite the ending to accomodate it.

from this point on I still have the final route to add, which i still have no cemented idea for. maybe i should just give you guys a bunch of bonus smut that isnt necessarily tied to a quest.

I already added a 225% weakness to fire yesterday, just didnt reupdate afterwards. i added the attack because someone complained that if they ran out of mp and the girls were hypnotised the fight would go on forever. I'm currently adding some more npcs to the city... thinking about it i'm not sure how the player is made aware of the mountain pass cave in... i feel like there was something to make them go there and find it but i cant remember

Just a request, but could you make the tablet from the maze easier to get. When I first went there, I tried dozens of times, and never got it. I just gave up. Maybe make it so it is the first sucessful runs drop, instead of being mega random?

The slimes were a good idea, since they had a weakness. Ice. The enemies afterward do not. For wolves, casting a fire spell should be super effective, not ineffective. And the flames would scare them. Mages, getting silenced would help if their physical attack wasn't as high. Cut it down to a third of that, and then it will be reasonable. Also, When entering the library to do the stealth mission, let them know about the story lock. Basically, think outside the box. One more bit of advice, nerf every enemies dodge rate. The surrender skill is used to see the scenes anyway.

but then the game would be totally linear. the stuff you miss is what affects the last mission.

Just a request, but could you make it so bounty boards and side quests are not miss-able? I just found out on another board that the slime girl is beyond me since I completed the stealth mission before getting it. Seems a bit cheap.

saving is what marks the opening of the chests in the inn. if i think of some new game+ material that's a good idea

I find that the ability to save at the end is pointless, as nothing else can be done. I only see the ending. Wouldn't it have been more intuitive to have them go back to the moment before they entered the portal at keri's house?

are you fighting with upgraded equipment? I don't recall them being so tough

Werewolves could use a nerf. They have way more hp than necessary, and they inflict poison, which cannot be treated normally. Not to mention their evasion. One werewolf is annoying, three is absurd. I went for 8 turn on just one werewolf, level 17

Ok, finally got past that, but then the next room, the guards are always on alert after i get caught once, then the next time they are back on patrols, but the last guard looks back and fourth with timing that is just impossible, I remember when there were not limits that it took me dozens of attempts. Sorry, but that section sucks.

anything for you guys. (will enable saving) though what part of it are you struggling with?

Could you do us a favor, and make the stealth elements a bit less broken? I hate that part with a passion. It was fine when we didn't have a limit, but now I cannot get past the 4th room. Maybe you could implement better saving, or allowing saving?

So hey, I was wondering if on the file select screen you could put the characters current levels on each file and maybe a way to name said files. Also something weird happened where after I lost Emi I went back to Bouken City, used the shiny thing in the hotel room and suddenly she was back. Made the final boss easier but I'm guessing that's probably not supposed to happen...

just rewrote a little of the first ending. because someone pointed out it doesnt note how the town was saved

love the update but i got to the ship at the end to take me to the island for route 2 and all im getting is a looping pattern for the ship.

it isn't, i've had that problem a few times, the fake death script, that keeps the battler portraits around when they get captured (using the default death means no picture) also ends the game if your entire party is inflicted. So sometimes I forget to recover a character immediately after the fight. First thing to say is I absolutely love how the art for the game is shaping up, it's beautiful and the content is awesome. Two things, is the Riven quest in the mountain supposed to not have a game over CG and scene associated with it? When you lose there she says your mine and you instantly get a game over. It's fine either way just wondering if that was intentional or not.
