RPG question
Added 2017-03-05 10:42:29 +0000 UTCwould you be annoyed if there was an unexpected gameplay change for a main plotline quest in an rpg?
I'm having a little difficulty designing the dungeon for the mind control cabal, i have a basic setup already, but i wanted to emphasise the mind control factor somehow.
I was thinking of avoiding combat except for the boss and having something like a boardgame.

2017-03-06 02:08:26 +0000 UTCI'm still stuck wondering exactly what to do... last time i dealt with mind control it was just a matter if you got hit with it you had a certain number of turns to win

2017-03-05 14:44:05 +0000 UTCAs long as the majority of the game will retain the more traditional rpg system it's alright to introduce special mini-game segments like this. They did it in games like Final Fantasy 7 to name a really famous example.

2017-03-05 12:04:34 +0000 UTCI could go with a boardgame like a hentai snakes and ladders, or something more like a stealth or ROR minigame. I'm just trying to think of something that feels right.

2017-03-05 10:46:31 +0000 UTCSPOILERS - where I'm up to currently, the party fell into a trap, and emi and kiri were whisked away in an instant (teleportation?) Ren hears a voice telling her to follow his instructions if she wants to see them again and is made to strip.
