Side game

not sure I mentioned yet, but I've been working on a side project as well as damsel quest. A metroidvania starring one of the characters that will be introduced to DQ3 later on... It has a pretty good setting but I'm kind of apprehensive about showing it yet



it just feels like it's not good enough. The enemies are still too easy to handle (you can walk right by some without them grabbing you).
I'm scared because I'm undoubtedly going to be compared to Kyrieru, and that's a standard I just can't meet without help.

I'm a little stuck on the layout design at the moment. I'm wondering how to make a big game not let you get lost easily (since i can't code a map), one option is to make the game pretty small or to have a lot of linear dead ends so you can't wander too far off path.

this months damsel quest update will be released sometime in the new year (before the 10th) but it's a small update...only the addition of a minigame this time, which focuses on ren being blindfolded and gagged in a maze filled with aphrodisiac.

oh and the loss for 0hp isnt implemented yet, unless you got grabbed because you cant escape them at that point...
