Taurine 1.0.7 RC2
Added 2021-08-03 09:40:48 +0000 UTCTaurine 1.0.7 RC is a new release for iOS 14.0 - 14.3 with the following improvements:
* Performance optimizations
* Initial support for dyld cache overriding
* Taurine recovery utilities (Screenshot)
* BSOD now auto-launches you into recovery utilities instead of going to safe mode directly
* Recovery utilities pops up a UI of common items that you can see on your device
* Startup Repair -- part of recovery utilities -- fixes the iOS 14 looping issue that can rarely happen due to a stock bug in iOS 14
* Telnet / SSH -- if you have OpenSSH installed, you can connect to it over USB while in recovery. If not, you can start up Taurine's built in Telnet server from recovery to connect over USB and get a shell
Note: If your device hangs or black screens on iOS 14 (since the stock iOS bug is present) DO NOT FORCE REBOOT. Instead let Taurine's crash handler handle it, so it can BSOD and send you to recovery. From there you can use Startup Repair to verify boot integrity (or go directly back into jailbroken state with tweaks on if everything is fine)
Comments
So far, for me on iPhone XS, iOS 14.3, Taurine 1.0.7 RC2 has been remarkably stable. Absolutely no freezing in the past 48 hours.
2021-08-12 19:14:47 +0000 UTCWhy is not letting me download the ipa
2021-08-08 13:55:18 +0000 UTC1.0.6 had no issues on it and a long uptime so never downgraded
2021-08-03 21:02:00 +0000 UTCWhich Taurine version did you jbupdate from to get to 1.0.7? 1.0.4 is problematic to update off of but 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 work fine. Use the IPA to update from 1.0.4
2021-08-03 20:50:58 +0000 UTCIs that how you’re supposed to do it?
2021-08-03 17:36:21 +0000 UTCI didn't I put it in my / folder then ran: jbupdate /taurine-ota-1.0.7-rc2.tar
2021-08-03 15:31:57 +0000 UTCHow do you update OTA with that file?
2021-08-03 15:29:51 +0000 UTChey after doing jbupdate through terminal on the taurine-ota-1.0.7-rc2.tar my phone got stuck on the spinning circle :/ then BSODed. Then it came back to the spinning circle and is repeated that process for some time. It has now rebooted into stock iOS. thoughts? Launching through 1.0.7 RC also kicked me to the recovery scene > Safe Mode > LDRestart into JBOS
2021-08-03 15:22:19 +0000 UTCLibhooker on mine still says Taurine version 1.6.2
2021-08-03 14:48:51 +0000 UTCI appreciate your work!
