"Reevin's Run" - Lyrics

Bow on her back down a craggy, old path she goes
A few new bandages on her cuts and a lesson learned about easy trust
Swiftly now, headed towards that town is Reevin
A servant boy who is fleeing now for his life
Twelve years old and afraid of death, when the Beast gets caught then he knows he’s next
In the dead of night
He sees a passing light
A Swampfolk woman with a torch and map to his surprise
Catches him lurking ‘bout
Gets bow and arrow out
Sees he’s a child and calls him closer with a gentle shout
“What are you doing on this dark road alone?”
He tells her leaving all hat he’s ever known
“You can camp with me in my humble tent
And when morning comes, head off to the swamp.
Tell them that you are Dyelle sent
And they’ll keep you safe take my word as bond.”
Reevin hugs her waist
And he gives his thanks
A little bit of hope goes a real long way
Sunlight glows and then Reevin’s woke by Dyelle (“Now it’s time for you to wake”)
She tells him it’s time that they say their goodbyes for now (“I wish you safest travels”)
She gives him bread and a Swampfolk jewel
So her Father knows that she sent him, true
Leaving now with a smile on face, is Reevin (A little hope goes a long way)
Munching bread as he happily runs along (And now the sun is setting)
Tamion can’t find a Beast this fast and the swamp’s not far, is he free at last?
In the dead of night
He sees a passing light
A merchant with a cart and horse who’s face is showing fright
The merchant doesn’t pause
Then Reevin sees the cause
Pursuing him are half a dozen members of The Watch
Reevin’s surrounded as the merchant escapes
Reevin is crying as he’s eyeing their blades
But to his surprise they all sheath their swords
And they grab him rough and drag him through woods
Crumbled structure, in clearing found
With an altar with many Watch around it
There’s a figure here, standing eight feet tall
Wearing plate mail, black as knight
It’s a Dread Templar, with a scar ‘cross face
And it’s skin is pale as white
He looks at Reevin and smiles…
