"Timmund and the Sacred Blade" - Lyrics
Added 2024-10-20 20:25:39 +0000 UTCEllomin’s council, pulled Timmund to the side
And they all took off their hoods, which they never do
And looked him in the eye, with a sympathetic look
And they said
“We know it must seem, that the prophecy
to you, is such a burden.”
But Timmund said
“No. I don’t think so. I just think it’s poorly worded.
Yeah, I’m down to risk my life but I don’t wanna lose it.
That last line of the prophecy, let’s lose it.
I’ll take the Sacred Blade and make Dread Templar fear my name.
But when it’s all through, I’m not dying too.”
Timmund set off to get the blade from prophet’s hand
(alright, where?)
To a one man monastery, through the fields and forest as fast as he can
Thinking to himself, while he rides
“I know they all think, that the prophecy
to me, is such a burden.
But I don’t know.I don’t think so.
I just think it’s poorly worded.
Yeah, I’m gonna risk my life but I’m not gonna lose it.
That last line of the the prophecy’s so stupid.
I’ll take the Sacred Blade and make Dread Templar fear my name.
But when it’s all through, I’m not dying too.”
White stone walls and ivy, perfect statues line the halls.
A courtyard with a fountain, Timmund’s taking in it all
The Prophet rounds a corner, an ageless man
Wearing robe, spun out of gold
With a sword held in his hand
Timmund grabs the hilt and draws the blade and it feels right
Pretty strange feeling your destiny, through object, come to life
Timmund sheaths the blade and starts to leave
But then the Prophet to starts to speak
“I know it must seem, that the prophecy
To you, is poorly worded
But I say no.
And I need you to know, only you can claim the burden.
If you choose to risk your life, I promise that you’ll lose it
that last line of the prophecy comes true when,
you take the Sacred Blade and make Dread Templar fear your name.
But when it’s all through, you’ll be dying too."
