Time is so important in the kitchen, and this was left totally out of the picture. Sure I can make perfect cubes when cutting an onion, but in a stew this uniformity is irrelevant, but the 2h late start cooking because I uniformly chopped two onions will hurt - and might starve me ;)

Andre Klärner (klaernie)

Sorry, Taha earned that win :)

Lloyd

In retrospect, I maintain that I am correct and know how to peel onions - taha

Answer in Progress

I demand the patreon exclusive with the two hours cut of Taha peeling the onion

Pablo Rodriguez

That title with Taha staring at the camera in the thumbnail is just so fitting.

Wait, there were only three knives? Changes everything. Sabrina’s chef knife choice makes more sense now. I mostly use my two smallest knives (the paring Taha used and basically a straight edged steak knife), but I do swap out to the chef knife when cooking for a lot of people. (Now I also realize why Sabrina did not sharpen the knife when she noticed the dullness. No sharpener! I got nervous during the peeling after Sabrina said the knife felt kind of dull. I literally sharpen, or I guess hone, my knives every time I cook…)

This all goes to show that for the average person whose go-to appliance is the microwave, a single, multi-purpose knife is sufficient. However, for an aspiring chef (someone who requires a gas stove) having the correct knife for the work being done is essential.

Bryce Carlson

Taha for sure :)) Sorry Sabrina 😅

Richard Tang

Also team Taha, sorry! One knife for everything is the way forward.

Naomi

I'm sorry Sabrina, but Taha absolutely deserves to win, just for the potato, and his stubbornness to use only one tiny knife 🤣
