As ideas unite, they crystallize.
(Crystals; tiny specks of the universe working together in honor of a form, a number, an idea.)
Then, we cut them, make gems of them, and proper settings for those gems.
(Bind them up in words of copper or silver or, occasionally, gold.)
And then they are a Treasure.
- The Impresario, with parenthetical commentary by the Wordsmith, taken from the Unauthorized Autobiography.
Today's art features the Chosen One instructing a Tapa, a Kaga, a Luxa, an ORO, and a Milli. The presence of a Kaga but not a Coba implies the work was done around 180 AS. Two versions exist; which shall be put up in the chancel this pul is still being debated. The other will go to the rectory.
Happy November, dear Patrons!
I apologize most sincerely for the lower levels of communication recently. Dreaming Door has been quite busy, and would like to offer an update.
In addition to being an official selection of the Aesthetica Film Festival happening in the UK this week and the beautiful art exhibit in Ypsilanti featuring Dreaming Door's art and ideas through October, we were invited to lecture at Oakland University, and the experience has been wonderful. Many beautiful humans and even a few Draak were encountered, all bearing nothing but good signs and wishes. Thank you sincerely to every fan of Dreaming Door and every reader of this message for taking a little of the precious time and energy of your lives and giving it to us. We promise to keep making beautiful things.
To be clear, every single dollar received through game sales or Patreon is going straight to the Dreaming Door treasury, to be used for nothing else but making art and beauty for the world, paid directly to the artists and programmers who work for us. You guys, together, paid for the art you see this month, and more, too. Thank you for making it possible.
(Interestingly, the small amount of money made from this lecture series represents the very first and only money which I have received personally in any sense from the game or the entire Dreaming Door enterprise. Finally receiving some actual money for my work, even if only in an indirect way, was both a little happy and a little sad.)
Our Spanish localization is at last beta complete! It is currently in review and likely will be for a month or two, but then we'll be releasing it. If anyone reading this is a native Spanish speaker and would like to be in the closed beta, please contact me.
Our unofficial Chinese translation team, headed by Ari, has made great strides in the Chinese localization as well, and Act 1 is almost ready to go. Next year is the Year of the Dragon, and we can think of no better way to bless that than to release the Chinese localization for it.
Please do take a look at the alternate coloring which I've attached as a bonus image and let me know in the comments below. Sometimes it takes me a while, but I do read those.
More to come soon.
