Re: The app going down

Microsoft are really kicking up a fight, but this time it went down, something odd and interesting happened. Every time the app is taken down, the store page and account goes with it. This shows up at first on the partner page that the store page has been removed due to xx violations, and is soon followed by the account being terminated.

This morning, the account is fine, the store page itself is fine, only the apps were blocked, almost as if no human intervention from Microsoft took place. We're currently investigating ways to circumvent this as if it is an automated takedown, and an update (which may or may not help) is in certification. We'll keep you posted on what happens.

Be advised, in the event this test fails, our next level of defense is coming soon!

Thanks for your patience as always! Your support gives us the power to really fight back!

Probably a viable option, probably gonna learn to do it myself. But gonna back my brothers here till the end. πŸ‘Š

Thanks for your work guys, lets hope you can get a wey to apps last at least weeks, count on me with the montly pay!

Not to sound annoying, but I think you all shouldn't blow through a bunch of work arounds all at once, especially right now while Microsoft are on the active hunt to kill off retail uploads. I know people want their emulators, especially after paying, but there can only be so much you can do to obfuscate things. Going through a method or more per day is going to run through them quick. Some should be held back until the full package is working correctly with almost no bugs, and anything else that might be added is done so. That way people that do get a working copy downloaded can have the full experience for long term use if they want that. I don't want to sound like I'm telling you how to do your job, as I appreciate and thank you for what all you have done for us. Just raising a concern that came to mind.

I don’t think it’s MS doing it I think it’s the system firmware ever since MS updated the Xbox firmware in April a lot of my app and games stop working I’m gonna keep supporting we break the wall down soon we all just have to do it together

Right on fellas. The thing that really makes me cringe are those who issue the "This needs to be working by tomorrow at noon or I'm pulling my money out." threat. Uhhh, ok Diamond Jim, knock em dead on Wall Street. Fortunately there are some great and selfless folks in and around the scene who get it, and will continue to press on and donate what they can in hope of pays off for all. Just wish more understood how difficult (and expensive) this can get, perhaps think about every dev account that gets nuked is $19 US out the window. Time, effort, resources, it all costs money. Thanks to you and the rest who truly get it, we will be victorious, give these guys some time, encouragement, and a bit of respect. Also, $2.69 for 1 soda has got to be felony robbery!!! Lol!

Heck it's only 2$, a symbolic gesture basically. I will gladly support them! Besides, for many of us there is no other option, in Portugal DEV Mode is not avaliable (I don't know why) so to me this is the only way of getting emulation on my XBOX. I asked Microsoft time and time again, through their horrible costumer service, why my country doesn't have access to DEV mode but they never replied. I know they will find a way! Besides, I am sure Microsoft is not hiring human labour to check these app and flag them, as UW said. It's probably a bot and bots can be fooled. I am sure Microsoft will lose interest in this soon enough and we will be able to maintain our emulation while online.

Do us a favor and unsub now, we're supporting these people for the long haul whether or not they get it up and running long term. This is not a bounty. This is a support system.

Well put man. Good show. πŸ˜…

Glad to be among some like minded folk. Can't stand these cry babies in here acting like they're buying a membership or something lol and for the record 1 soda is $2.69 where I work 😭

This. Fucks sake its 2023, $2 a month is absurdly low and if anyone here thought your big wheel $2/mo donation was "buying you something" then you've got it all wrong. It's a gift. Its incentive. Its next to nothing. Youre doing something great in hopes of greatness. WTF are you gonna do with that $2 anyhow, buy 1 soda? I get it, emulation should be free, blah blah, but someones got to have the passion and do the hard work to break through some real serious barriers on this platform in particular. I donated $100s to gamr13 (Toby?) for his efforts, and enjoyed the hell out of those releases, worth every penny because I helped him achieve a common goal. I felt good about helping, that's it. I still have an S offline with all his last efforts running and wont ever put it back online. Cmon folks, for $2 you can stick it out and be a small part of something that's revolutionary (until that self-serving fuck MVG releases another Im-getting-paid-too-bad-for-you snitch video anyway). Quit sobbing, use Dev mode for now, help test, keep your tiny donation in the game, and be part of something great.

If it means I can still play retail emulation for a little I don’t mind at all

If it doesn't work out by end of month consistently I'm simply going to unsubsribe soon. I'm not sweating over the MVG publicity however that a key reason why this sort of thing will just keep getting shut down. Regarding 2 bucks got no issue yall are trying your best.

You'll need to start with dev account for sure. At this point you either will install apps instantly in dev mode or you'll be publishing your apps in the store and they will still be banned from time to time. Point. Less.

You hate to see people pulling their support from the people trying really hard to make this happen. The lust for instant gratification is sad. IF we ever get long term emulation on the Xbox please remember the people who actually stuck around and supported it even when it seemed impossible. We're not gonna hold $2.16 a month over your head like it was some sort of guarantee. We all knew what this was. And if you didn't maybe you should pull out now.

Seriously. What ever happened to supporting devs BEFORE the finished product? Everyone wants instant gratification but they don't wanna pay to see it come to fruition.

I believe that a good option would be to provide instructions for each one to publish their own private application. That way each one installs their own app and MS hardly blocks it.

I also believe it is the best option. Each one publishes their own app limited to their account, the private app will hardly be taken down.

People Fr crying over $2

Thanks for all the hard work…will probably end up doing dev mode but will keep subscribing here to support. $2 is a small ask compared to how much effort y’all are putting in to this

Maybe you can show us the source code of launcher and full instruction how to build and publish app in Microsoft store? This could solve problem with ban application based on it's uniq ID and checksum, because few changes in source code will make every build uniq.
