Headmaster of Shadowfrost Part 5
Added 2025-09-20 04:54:23 +0000 UTCJack Smith glared at the asshole standing on the porch with a smirk. "If this is a joke, I'm going to do everything in my power to legally ruin your life."
Kevin snorted. "Watch it Smith, you're threatening a cop."
Jack glared at his former classmate and general asshole. "I don't know who the fuck you bribed to pass the test but I'm going to lodge a complaint with the captain, you're not fucking welcome here and he knows it. Now fuck off before I call the state police."
"I just wanted to tell you the bitch was dead," Kevin replied with a smirk.
"Go fuck your dog or your mother," Jack replied as he walked back inside, not even bothering to close the door on the asshole that had been harassing him since his younger sister kicked him in the nuts for 'accidently' walking into the girl's locker room.
"That would be illegal, you're encouraging me to commit a crime. I'm going to have to take you in," Kevin replied smugly as he stepped into Jack's house to grab him, happy that the asshole had given him probable cause to stick him in a cell for a couple of days.
"You're trespassing, get out," Jack warned him as he picked up the wooden baseball bat the family kept for dealing with drunks and door to door religious nuts that can't read.
"Nice, you're threatening an officer," Kevin replied with a grin.
"I have a restraining order against you and telling you to fuck your dog after you gleefully came over here to tell me that my sister is dead, isn't a crime," Jack replied, knowing his cellphone would catch the conversation.
"I'm on official business," Kevin replied as he pulled a pair of handcuffs off his belt. "Put them on or I'll get to add resisting arrest."
"Last warning, get out. I'm calling the state police," Jack warned him, tired of the dealing with the fucker and his 'friends'.
"Can't say I didn't try," Kevin said as he reached for his gun.
Jack dropped the letter informing him that his younger sister had been killed in Japan, grabbed the bat with both hands and swung at Kevin's head as hard as he could, knowing the asshole would probably shoot him and lie about it. He resisted the urge to hit the bastard a second time, fairly sure he wasn't going to survive since he'd caved his face in.
'Fuck! Fuck!' Jack thought as he walked over to the shelf and grabbed his camera. He pushed the button to stop recording. "Fuck!" He opened his contact list and called his cousin.
Nick pulled his attention away from the stripper on stage when his phone started vibrating. He pulled his phone out and looked at the caller ID. 'Bad timing cuz,' he thought as he answered the phone, keeping his voice low so that he didn't offend anyone, "What's up?"
"I need some help, the legal type," Jack replied.
"Can it wait? Vivian is dancing," Nick replied.
"Kevin's dead or dying on the kitchen floor, he walked into the house and pulled a gun on me, I hit him with a baseball bat, it's on camera."
"What the fuck?" Nick asked as he headed for the back hallway where he'd have a bit more privacy for the call but still be able to watch the show. "I know I told you to record things if you had to deal with the asshole but that's not what I meant."
"Rose is dead, the fucker showed up to tell me and was smug as shit," Jack replied.
"What the hell?!" Nick snapped, causing several people to turn and glare at him.
"I don't know, there was some type of accident involving a truck crashing through the wall of the house where she was staying, I didn't have a chance to open the letter before things went south," Jack admitted.
"Fuck, send me the video," Nick replied as he connected the phone to his ear piece so that no one else would hear it.
Jack sent him the video. "He shouldn't have been within five hundred feet of anyone in the family and he was trespassing."
"He's a fucking cop, it's not going to matter," Nick complained in a low voice as he pulled up the video.
"Story of my life," Jack muttered.
Nick watched the rest of his cousin's act as he waited for Kevin to actually walk up to the house and start the conversation. 'Your brother was a fuck up too Kevin,' he mused as his cousin sauntered off the stage after blowing the audience some kisses. He scowled when a dark skinned woman in her thirties with melon sized breasts and lips that could suck start a Harley strutted onto the stage wearing a pair of trashy shorts and an old Metallica shirt. 'Yeah, no,' he thought as he headed for the back door, not interested in watching Monica swing around the pole or give people lap dances since her personality, lips and caked on makeup meant she was about as attractive as a rabid pitbull.
Nick gave Jake a nod as he walked over to his truck. "On a call."
"No worries," the guard replied and went back to watching the football game on his phone when he realized that Nick was dealing with something serious, judging by the furious look on his face.
Nick got into his truck and finished watching the video. "As your lawyer, I suggest calling the state police and explaining the situation, I'll be there in ten minutes. As your cousin, you should probably grab a pair of gloves and your monster mask to make sure you don't leave any hair or finger prints in his car and drive his car to the biker bar. Everyone knows that they dislike him almost as much as you do."
"It's a clear cut case of self defense, he was in my house," Jack argued, knowing it wouldn't be that simple since Kevin had several family members in the force.
"He's a fucking cop with family on the force. Even if you win the case, you're basically fucked unless you leave town," Nick warned him. "If you decide to ditch the car, you should burn the bat."
"Don't they have trackers on the cars?" Jack asked.
"He probably turned it off because there's no way the captain is stupid enough to assign him the job officially which means he probably traded with someone," Nick offered. "Worst case, he left the tracker on and the police will think that he drove from your house to the bar to harass some people. He's pissed enough people off that I'm sure I can find some people that will swear to have seen him."
"Thanks," Jack replied.
"We're family, I'll grab Vivian and we'll be over there in ten," Nick told him, figuring they'd be able to toss the body into the incinerator with Mr. McDonnell since the old man that ran the funeral home generally left Vivian to run things for the night shift.
"Thanks," Jack told him, then ended the call and deleted the video, not seeing a reason to leave evidence on his phone. 'At least I got the cheap service so they don't back-up anything,' he mused as he grabbed a towel from the oven and dropped it on the pool of blood leaking from Kevin's face, wanting to make sure the blood didn't go anywhere that he couldn't clean up.
"At least the folks are out of town and cleaning the kitchen was already on the list of things I was supposed to deal with…" he trailed off as he found himself in a dark stone room standing in a pentagram with a half a dozen men wearing robes and a naked woman with glowing green eyes, red skin and horns. "What the fuck?"
"The sacrifice has arrived!" one of the robed figures shouted.
Jack raised the bat that he was still holding, ready to start swinging if someone didn't start talking or making some effort to actually explain.
The demon girl studied the handsome young man with red hair for a couple of seconds then looked at the leader of the cultists. "Did you even bother reading my contract?"
"Of course we read the contract," the leader replied. "We found you a murderer, just like you wanted, which means you have to give us power unless you want us to file a grievance with The Company."
"I'm a demon of my word, I'll follow the contract to the letter," the demon assured them, wondering if the quality of cultists was decreasing or if she'd just gotten lucky the last couple of times she'd been summoned. "Is this the sacrifice you're presenting me?"
"Yes, now rip his fucking heart out and give us power," the cultist snapped.
The demon lunged forward, plunged her hand into the cultist's chest and ripped his heart out, causing the rest of the cultists to scream in shock. She snapped the fingers of her hand that wasn't holding the bloody heart and the heavy wooden door to the ritual chamber slammed shut.
"What the hell?!" one of the other cultists demanded.
The demon girl took a bite of the heart then licked her lips and smiled at the cultists, ignoring the blood that was running down her chin. "Congratulations, you chucklefucks can't tell the difference between someone that kills someone in self defense and a murderer, which means you've voided your right to safety."
"I've had a horrible day and I'd like to walk out of here alive, is there any way that we can make a deal?" Jack asked the demon hopefully.
"I want a deal too!" one of the cultists blurted out.
The demon blurred forward and ripped the cultist's throat out. "You had your chance, you fucked it up." She kicked the man in the chest, sending him flying into the back wall where he collapsed.
One of the cultists activated his teleportation ring, vanishing from the chamber.
"None of that," the demon teased as she gestured and temporarily sealed the planar boundaries so they wouldn't be able to escape. 'I'll find him later.' She turned to look at Jack. "Tell you what, if you agree to fuck the stuffings out of me, I'll agree to let you walk out of here reasonably safe and happy."
"I'll give it a try as long as you can send me back," Jack offered.
"I can't send you back but I can send you somewhere safe, how's that?" the demon asked as the cultists started pulling weapons out of their robes.
"Deal," Jack replied, figuring that was the best deal he was going to get.
"Fantastic," she replied as she tossed the cultist's heart at one of the other cultists, causing him to flinch. "You're going to walk over to the wall and you're going to watch while he fucks me silly."
Jack watched the three remaining cultists rush over to the wall.
The demon smiled then shape shifted into a copy of Jack's cousin, her hair changing from her unnatural crimson to a more normal red while her skin shifted to a creamy white. "You're going to fuck me and spank me and lick me until I scream and then I'll send you on your way, unless you want to back out of the deal?"
"Nope," Jack replied, not seeing a problem with having some fun with a shape changing demon, even if she looked like his cousin Vivian. "That's not a deal breaker."
The demon shifted to look like Rose. "What about now?"
"Still not a deal breaker," Jack replied, well aware that the demon wasn't his sister and that his sister was attractive and that it might be the closest he was going to get to seeing his sister again if Kevin hadn't been lying about her death. Plus, Rose would have laughed until she pissed herself if she’d know the situation he’d gotten himself into, so in a weird way he could be seen as honoring her death, but then this had been a very weird day.
"Awesome!" the demon replied as she conjured a bed and jumped on it, rather enjoying the terror she could feel coming off the cultists that were watching.

Dawn smiled when she got a notice on the display screen. "Neat, summoning your brother just unlocked an option to create cousins."
"That's cool," Rose agreed, thinking about her older cousin. "Vivian is awesome."
"Vivian, Wendy and Nick, right?" Zoe asked Rose as Dawn walked over to the coffin.
Rose shook her head. "Wendy?"
"Two out of three isn't bad," Sarah replied with a shrug. "Vivian works at the crematorium, right?"
Rose nodded. "She's also a stripper. Nick's a lawyer. Wendy's our age."
"The Fuzzy Rabbit?" Zoe asked.
"Yeah," Rose agreed. "It's the only club in town that's actually clean so that's not surprising."
"How old is Julia?" Dawn asked as she opened the coffin, revealing an athletic red haired teenager that was only wearing a pair of spandex underwear.
"She's eighteen, she's about six months younger than Vivian, why?" Rose as she walked over to look in the coffin.
"I get the sense that everything split when Julia was born, probably because we're using her as a focus," Dawn offered as the boy opened his eyes.
"Can someone explain where I am?" Jack asked, starting to wonder if he was losing his marbles since his younger sister who had supposedly been hit by a truck was wearing a sheer cheerleading outfit and looking down at him while he was in a coffin. 'Maybe Kevin shot me and I'm hallucinating or the demon is playing with my mind and decided she wasn't done with me?'
"You're in Shadowfrost Academy, it's basically a school for cultivators," Dawn explained.
"Congratulations, you're a wizard Harry," Rose offered with amusement.
"My name isn't Harry, it's Jack," Jack replied as he sat and glanced around the room, his gaze jumping to the pair of red headed twins noticing the fact that they looked like they could be his cousins.
"I've basically been summoning Julia's siblings from different worlds because she has a rare magical ability that lets her deal with corruption," Dawn explained.
"Does that mean I can learn magic?" Jack asked hopefully.
"Cultivation is basically spirit magic, so yeah," Rose assured him.
Jack turned and looked at his sister trying not to stare until he figured out if the girl was actually his sister or just the demon girl messing with him. "Does that mean Julia is here?"
"A version of her," Zoe offered. "I'm Zoe and this is Sarah, we're Julia's siblings which sort of makes us siblings."
"Are you sure we want to claim him, he's sort of hot," Sarah teased.
"Ignore her, she has a warped sense of humor," Zoe warned him.
"Says the goth," Sarah replied with a snicker.
"I'm Jack Smith in case you didn't know and the last thing I remember was getting summoned by cultists," Jack told them, skipping the part where he'd fucked the hell out of the demon girl while she looked like various female members of his family.
"Sorry about that, that's part of the summoning package, you either get hit by Truck-Kun, abducted by aliens or you get summoned by demons," Dawn explained.
"Aliens?" Jack asked.
"It's annoying, they kept telling me that resistance was futile and that I'd be probed," Zoe complained.
"How did you get here?" Jack asked Sarah.
"Cultists, the demon ate them because it wanted a virgin sacrifice," Sarah replied with a shrug.
'That tracks, just like my demon wanting a murderer,' Jack mused. "Do we have a way back?"
"Not currently but the Headmaster is working on it, if we win the tournament he'll pick up the ability to open portals to Earth which should help or at least get us closer to getting back since we're dealing with several different Earths," Dawn explained.
"So you're basically kidnapping people because you need help?" Jack asked.
"I'm not actually sure if you're a copy or if the machine is just pulling people out of worlds after they're summoned or captured by aliens, if anything I'm rescuing people," Dawn argued.
"Either way, magic," Rose pointed out.
"Point," Jack admitted. "So, now what?"
"Now I test out a new feature and summon your cousin," Dawn replied as she walked back over and started creating another student, picking the cousin option instead of the sibling option.
'Fuck it, it can't be worse than sticking around town and waiting for one of Kevin's uncles to shoot me for resisting arrest,' Jack mused. "Sounds fun."
Dawn smiled as she fed the magic marbles to the machine, looking forward to seeing what their cousins were like before she went back to summoning siblings from other worlds. 'I wonder if summoning a local version would let me summon a version of my other worlds’ siblings like Anakin? It might be worth a try once we have more magic stones.'

Wu Fang glared at the doppelganger in the middle of the arena that dared to take his face. "I'm going to enjoy killing you."
"For the honor of the heavens I Wu Fang shall defeat you," the mirror duplicate replied in an overly dramatic voice then did a rather dramatic hip thrust. "Then I shall fuck your corpse!"
"Ah, what?" Wu Fang asked as he took a step back in revulsion. "What the fuck is wrong with you?!"
"I've looked into the Abyss and it looked back," the shadow Wu Fang replied as he started twitching and laughing. "Bring it! You are courting death!"
'Do I actually sound like that?' Wu Fang asked himself before deciding that the doppelganger was just a pale copy.
"Blood of the Demon Fox!" the shadow shouted as he charged his duplicate, using his shadow illusion technique to create shadowy fox ears, pretending that he'd mastered one of the blood techniques that his master had shown him and promptly told him to never use until he was a higher realm. "Life Stealing Slash!"
Wu Fang tossed himself out of the way, knowing better than to get hit with a technique that ripped the life from your bones. 'How the fuck did he learn that?!' he wondered as he rolled to his feet.
The mirror used the second that it took the original to spin back around to turn his dagger invisible and toss it at the bastard wearing 'his' face. He frowned slightly when the knife sank into his original's throat without him even noticing the attack before it hit.
"Uuh!" Wu Fang sputtered as he reached for whatever had hit him in the throat.
The mirror shadow walked out of the original's shadow, grabbed his neck while he was distracted with bleeding out and twisted until he heard several cracks then pulled the dagger out of his throat and finished the job, causing Wu Fang to turn into motes of shadow and fade away, leaving behind a cloth wrapped package. 'That was pathetic,' the shadow mused as he picked up the bundle and headed for the gate that was rising. 'Probably for the best, he never had the neidan to push himself.'

"This is fucked up," Feng Wu complained as he watched Vala rip the corruption out of the mutated kobold that she'd just killed using the technique that Sun Ru had taught them, causing purple and green blotches to appear on her skin.
"No shit," Morrigan agreed as she worked on looting the corpses of the kobolds that she'd killed for spirit stones. "It could be worse, at least we know what we're dealing with."
"We wanted power, this is fucking power." Vala used the other technique she'd learned from Sun Ru to flood her body with the corrupted qi, using it to temper her body.
"I want to be immortal, not a twisted demon," Feng Wu argued, trying not to think about the fact that Vala's left arm seemed to have grown an inch as the twisted cultivation technique warped her body.
"If we stick to the plan, we'll be fine," Han said, hoping he was right, as he continued trying to break the annoyingly hard stone with the pickaxe that Sun Ru had let him borrow, fairly sure the corrupted qi would turn them into monsters before they managed to mine enough spirit stones for everyone to escape.
"Liar," Feng Wu argued.
"Fine, we're all going to die and the stone is insanely durable," Han snapped. "Is that what you wanted to hear?"
"Just keep mining, it seems to attract the kobolds which means they have to come to us." Morrigan shivered as a blood curdling scream echoed down the tunnel. "Anything is better than dealing with the traps."
"I don't want to turn into a demon," Lee complained.
"You're not going to turn into a demon from the qi, you'll probably just melt," Vala offered as she flexed her hands, rather happy with her new claws.
"Shit," Lee sputtered.
Morrigan shook her head. "You're not going to melt."
"Oh, good," Lee admitted.
"Vala will probably turn into a demon first and eat you," Feng Wu teased.
"He's not wrong," Vala replied with a smile, not as opposed to the idea of ripping the bulky cultivator apart and eating him as she would have been a couple of hours ago.
Han sighed in relief as he managed to shatter part of the wall revealing several spirit stones and a glowing red stone. "This is going to take forever."
"Just stick with it another couple of hours then we can walk out and tell Sun Ru that we need a break and some time to detox," Morrigan suggested.
"Do you think he'll care?" Lee asked hopefully.
"We're getting stones and he seems reasonable, which means he'll understand that he won't get anything if we're dead," Morrigan argued.
"Quit talking, someone is coming," Feng Wu suggested.
"Greetings and salutations," Mist called out as he approached the group that actually seemed to have a decent idea unlike the rest of the idiots that were running around the mine looking for the kobolds and running into their traps.
"Are you with the sect?" Feng Wu asked as she studied the man that was holding a basket filled with marbles.
"Yeah, I'm here to help," Mist replied as he walked over.
Vala stared at the stranger that was holding a torch and a basket, a bit disturbed by the way the qi that got near him was being consumed. "What about the corrupted qi?"
"Not really a problem for me," Mist replied, staying four feet away from the nearest person. "Unfortunately, the kobolds are a bit dangerous since I don't have any qi."
"If you don't have any qi, how are you going to help?" Han asked.
Mist leaned against the wall, causing the ki in the stone to get turned into mana. He cast his magic stone creation spell, adding another marble to his basket. "I'm absorbing the qi in the stone, that should make it easier to break."
"What about the spirit stones?" Morrigan asked warily, knowing they needed them if they wanted to buy their way out of the mess they got themselves in.
"My quirk doesn't seem to absorb the stones or the hell stones so we should be fine and we can always refill the stones with qi after we grab the blocks," Mist suggested as he moved back a bit to start working on another section of the wall.
"Give it a whack," Feng Wu suggested.
Han moved over and swung at the stone wall and quickly jumped back when that section of wall almost exploded from the force of his strike, uncovering several spirit stones and one of the glowing red stones. "Huh."
"How long can you stay?" Vala asked, hoping he'd stick around so they could finish the job and get the hell out of the mines before they completely lost it.
"If you keep the kobolds away from me, I'll stay long enough to fill my basket and one of my bags with magic stones," Mist offered, having talked to Sun Ru about Feng's group. "That should give you enough time to mine a bunch of spirit stones."
"Deal," Vala agreed before someone opened their mouth and ruined what was probably their only chance to get out of the mess with their sanity intact.
