Time Loops, Wheel of Time Part 4

Damer Flinn froze when he found himself in a stone room with several familiar faces and some strangers that he'd never seen before. "What's going on?"

"Long story short, you're here because we need to fix Siuan and Leane's connection to the source before we send them back to the past to kill the Dark One," Mist explained, wanting that particular annoyance dealt with before he explained the rest of the situation.

Damer stared at Mist for a couple of seconds then glanced between Siuan, Leane, Nynaeve and Moiraine. "Has he lost his mind?" he asked, ignoring the other strangers for the moment.

"Not that I know of," Moiraine replied. "He rescued me from the Finn right after I fell through the redstone doorway and he pulled everyone else from various points in time."

"Nynaeve was supposed to heal us but he said that it would be a bad idea," Siuan admitted.

"It was," Damer replied, having studied their damaged connections after the war. "Do you have a way to fix the fact that I can't sense the source?" he asked Mist, figuring they were using some type of ter'angreal to block the source or the room was in a stedding and they'd concealed the door.

Mist pulled a silver bracelet out of his inventory and tossed it to Damer. "This should have enough saidin to heal them."

Damer slipped the bracelet on and reached out with his magic. He drew enough of the power to heal Siuan and fixed her connection to the source, having done it a few times over the last couple of years.

'Fucking pattern, someone should have realized they could fix it before Nynaeve and Damer found the solution,' Mist thought as he watched the glowing threads repair the damage that being severed had caused to Siuan's connection to the source. 'She figured it out by delving the gap, it can't have been that hard unless there's a different talent that involves fixing it?'

Damer carefully fixed Leane's connection then dropped the connection to the well of saidin in the bracelet, not seeing a point in wasting the power in case he needed it. "I've healed them, now what?"

"That depends, do you want me to send you back to your own time and risk getting erased because we've changed things or do you want to stick around and help us teach the next generation of healers?" Mist asked, hoping he'd stick around since he was one of the better healers in the series.

Damer glanced between Nynaeve and Moiraine then focused on Mist. "That depends, can you rescue Corele Hovian? She's an excellent healer."

"She's also dependable and quite skilled," Nynaeve added, knowing they could use her help if they wanted to get everyone trained.

"Absolutely," Mist as he summoned Damer's wife, causing a short woman with blue eyes and raven black hair to appear wearing a yellow silk dress.

Corele glanced around then focused on Damer. "How did I get here?"

"Long story…" Damer trailed off as a young woman with black hair walked out of the other room wearing nothing except a porcelain mask that covered the top half of her face.

Corele turned and stared at Egwene. "What's going on?"

Mist laughed, rather enjoying the Aes Sedai's confusion. "Before we get to that, I need to summon a couple of people."

"Who are you summoning?" Egwene asked.

"Cadsuane, Verin and Logain, we're going to need their help," Mist replied as he summoned Cadsuane from twenty years down the timeline that was going to be erased, dropping the gray haired old woman in the room without her clothes but with her ter'angreal and angreal.

Siuan scowled as she thought about all the trouble Cadsuane had caused over the years and how much her presence would complicate things. "How is that going to help?"

Cadsuane glanced around the room then focused on Siuan, wondering what was going on since she was supposed to be dead.

"Cadsuane is one of the few people that can beat some sense into the Tower without causing more problems than it's worth," Mist explained as he summoned Logain from twenty years down the timeline and Verin Sedai from a few minutes before she would have died because of the poison she'd consumed so she could avoid her oath and cripple the Black Ajah, dropping the nearly dead Aes Sedai on the bed. He pulled a Remedy out of his inventory and handed it to the grey haired Aes Sedai. "Drink that."

"What is it?" Verin asked as she glanced around the room at the people she knew, surprised to see Moiraine as she'd been fairly sure she was dead.

Logain glanced around the room, less than happy about the fact that he couldn't sense the source and a bit concerned that someone had managed to kidnap him.

"It's a healing potion, it should fix the damage from the poison," Mist explained, wanting to make sure she survived until he could send her to the past.

Verin drank the potion, figuring she didn't have anything to lose since she'd been close to death. She closed her eyes as a feeling of warmth washed over her and the pain vanished. "Where did you find that?"

"I might have grabbed a couple of things from the company infirmary before I started this particular mission," Mist admitted. "It's technically a Remedy mixed with a Greater Healing potion, it cures any poisons, diseases, curses and odd effects the drinker might be affected by and heals most wounds."

"Are you from a mirror world?" Cadsuane asked Verin.

"No, I pulled her out of the pattern about ten minutes before she would have died, we're going to need her help if we want to gut the Black Ajah," Mist explained.

"The Black Ajah should be gone," Cadsuane stated, not sure what was going on.

"Do you want to take this one?" Mist asked Moiraine and Nynaeve, already tired of explaining things and figuring they'd take it better if someone they knew explained things.

"No, but I will," Moiraine replied and started explaining the situation, wanting to get everyone caught up to speed.

Corele glanced between Cadsuane, Mist and Egwene once Moiraine finished explaining things and convincing Cadsuane that they weren't imposters. "Let's assume for a minute that we have sex with the masked girl and we're sent back, what are we supposed to tell people when they realize that we're stronger than we should be?"

"I don't really care what you tell people as long as you don't make a big deal out of it before we've had a chance to gut the Black Ajah," Siuan admitted.

"I have an idea," Moria piped up when it looked like Egwene was going to admit to having a weave to solve the problem. "If Mist can grab the contents of my workshop, I've got a couple of ter'angreal that should conceal your strength."

"Why do you have ter'angreal for concealing your strength?" Moiraine asked the red haired girl.

"I needed a way to move around the Seanchan empire without getting caught and some of the damane figured out how to slice weaves so having the ter'angreal was safer," Moria explained.

Mist focused and used his borrowed power to grab Moria's ter'angreal and angreal, filling a corner of the room with all sorts of strange trinkets. "You're a packrat, you know that right?" he teased as he started scanning her collection so he could copy everything.

"I'm aware," Moria replied with a grin as she walked over to find the rings that she needed.

"Where did you find those?" Corele asked, surprised by the size of the girl's collection of ter'angreal.

"I made most of them," Moria replied as she looked through her collection, glad that she'd labeled everything.

"Which Ajah are you?" Corele asked, fairly sure they wouldn't let an accepted or novice work on ter'angreal.

"I'm not an Aes Sedai," Moria replied with amusement as she picked up the box of silver rings that concealed a woman's magical strength. "My mother got tired of the Hall's shit and decided to train me herself."

"What were they doing?" Corele asked.

"Being exceptionally dense," Nynaeve complained, looking forward to being free of the Tower so that she didn't have to put up with the Hall or the political bullshit.

"They tried to pass a law that would have let them claim anything she made because she's an Aes Sedai," Moria replied as she pulled four of the rings out of the box.

"It was vague enough that the Tower could have tried to claim anything an Aes Sedai created, even if it wasn't created with the power," Cadsuane explained, still annoyed that she'd had to spend an entire weekend explaining why that particular law was worse than useless.

"That would have led to all sorts of problems," Verin mused, fairly sure the law would have just caused the people with rare talents to leave.

"I'm aware," Cadsuane replied. "Half of it was probably because they wanted to steal the income from selling heartstone and the rest was a combination of envy, greed, stupidity and a desire for leverage."

Nynaeve shook her head. "Bodewhin would have just left and taken most of the Two Rivers girls with her."

"That wouldn't have ended well," Corele admitted, knowing some of the Hall were stupid enough to send people after them.

"I don't think they believed that anyone would willingly leave the Tower," Moria said as she handed each of the Aes Sedai a silver ring. "The rings will let you control how much of your power another channeler can sense, anything from looking like someone that can't channel up to your full strength, just focus on the ring while you're holding it but not wearing it and you'll be able to adjust it."

"That should make things easier," Moiraine said as she focused on the ring, trying to figure out how to control it.

"Do we have an actual plan once we get back?" Corele asked as she put the ring on, hoping the plan involved cleansing the source so that Damer wouldn't go insane.

"Yeah," Mist replied. "It starts with destroying a bunch of shadowspawn and killing Padan Fain with balefire so he can't report to the Dark One. Mat has his necklace and memories of battle which means he shouldn't have to deal with most of the shit he had to deal with the last time around."

"Light willing," Mat muttered, more than happy to avoid Shadar Logoth this time around.

"Most of my plans are going to be pretty fluid until Ishamael, Moghedien and Lanfear are dead, they're dreamers which means they have the ability to see the future or at least versions of it which is going to complicate everything."

"Not to mention that all of the forsaken have a decent amount of skill with compulsion," Nynaeve reminded everyone.

"That's the other problem," Mist agreed. "I'm hoping we can figure out a way to block compulsion without giving everyone a copy of Mat's necklace."

"That would be nice," Mat agreed, knowing the Forsaken had used compulsion to great effect the last time around and hoping they could find a way around it this time.

"Do you have a way to kill them?" Corele asked.

Mist shook his head. "I can't channel which means I can't use balefire. The only other method I know about that could permanently kill them should be unavailable after we cleanse the source and we need the source cleansed and Shadar Logoth gone."

Corele glanced at Damer then focused on Mist. "I'm not going to disagree on that but it doesn't sound like you have much of a plan."

"I'm going to stack the deck but the sheer amount of power that Ishamael can borrow from the Dark One is terrifying, he needs to die. I'm hoping that he'll get sloppy in a fight with Rand because he's expecting a farm boy with no training and shouldn't be trying to kill him to start with. If we can take him out early, we should have a couple of months to cleanse the source and fix the weather before the rest of the forsaken start escaping. Either way, we should have until the trollocs start dying before anyone realizes things aren't going according to plan."

"Which means we're going to need to leave the Black Ajah alive for a couple of days so that we have a better chance of getting everything set up," Egwene warned them.

"As much as I want them trapped or dead, I don't think a couple of days is going to matter," Siuan admitted reluctantly. "Unless you can think of something important that we need to stop?" she asked Verin.

Verin shook her head. "I don't recall anything particularly important going on during that time."

"Excellent, let's get the show on the road," Moria said cheerfully.

"How do you want to do this?" Logain asked Egwene.

"Handjob?" Egwene asked, not particularly interested in having sex with Logain since he'd be rather smug if he figured out who she was under the mask.

"Works for me," Logain replied as he reached for his belt, not particularly worried about that part of things.

'Can't be worse than Faile and Perin,' Mist mused as he continued scanning the ter'angreal, not particularly interested in watching Egwene give Logain a handjob.

"Pay up," Loise al'Vere told Moria with a smirk, rather proud of herself for managing to get the masked girl to orgasm after only a couple of minutes of work with her tongue and fingers.

"How did you get that good?" Moria asked as she watched Loise grind her ass against Mat, giving them a show now that she'd won the bet.

"Lots of practice in the Tower," Loise replied with a smirk.

"You could have held out another minute," Moria complained as she tossed her a vase ter'angreal that created illusionary flowers.

"Thank you," Loise replied as she set the vase next to her on the bed and gave the masked girl a smile, wondering if she'd ever see her again.

"Sorry," Egwene offered after she managed to catch her breath, not particularly sorry since she'd just spent the last hour having some sort of sex with just about every channeler from the Two Rivers and more than a couple of windfinders and Aiel without getting her rocks off and her sister was extremely good with her tongue.

"Easy come, easy go," Mist teased Moria, enjoying the show more than he probably should and fairly sure that Egwene would probably need a couple of bottles of whiskey when they got done with everything.

"True," Moria admitted, just glad that she hadn't bet one of the angreals.

'There's something seriously wrong with me,' Egwene admitted as she reached up and played with her sister's breasts while she watched Mat fuck her from behind, enjoying things far more than she should.

Mist waited until Loise and Mat finished having sex then sent them into the past. "How are you doing?"

"I don't know," Egwene admitted, feeling a bit worn out but not nearly as bad as she would have expected all things considered. "I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I've seen half the town naked."

"I doubt it's half, it just feels that way," Mist offered as he picked up a gold ring with a large ruby off the table.

"Close enough," Egwene argued. "Do you know the worst part?"

"Let me guess, you wanted to take your mask off and watch your sister go nuts when she realized who you were?" Moria teased, curious how Loise would have reacted.

"What? No, there's something seriously wrong with your head," Egwene complained when she realized that Moria was serious.

"You're just figuring that out?" Moria asked with amusement.

"What's the worst part?" Mist asked, trying not to laugh at the entire situation.

"Despite giving my mother and sisters massages that included their bottoms, dealing with Perin and Faile was still the most awkward," Egwene admitted, trying to find the humor in the situation.

Mist laughed, thinking about the horrified look on Perin's face through the experience. "That's because he's a friend and extremely loyal to Faile."

"It was just weird," Egwene agreed. "Now what?"

Mist glanced at the empty corner where he'd dropped Moria's ter'angreal and angreal, wanting to make sure she'd stashed everything in her storage ring. "We should probably send the troublemaker into a ring before we stuff a bunch of random magic users in bottles."

"For the record, you have my permission to fuck me silly any time you want," Moria told Egwene. "I wanted to let you know before I got stuffed in a bottle in case you were worried about mental effects from the bottle and my permission not being valid."

"Good to know," Egwene assured her, not sure how to feel about the daughter of her best friend and her ex since she was more than a bit crazy, extremely attractive and close to her own age.

Mist gestured at Moria and used his magic, turning the redhead into purple mist that flowed into the ruby ring. "Any regrets?" he asked Egwene, hoping she wasn't completely traumatized by the experience.

Egwene stared up at the ceiling for a minute as she considered the question. "I should have grabbed the mask before summoning Perin and Faile, it might have helped."

"Or it would have made things worse, he would have spent a lot of time wondering about your identity, at least this way, he'll get over it."

"Hopefully," Egwene replied. "I'm not looking forward to facing everyone."

"Despite Mat's twisted sense of humor, he's loyal to a fault. He's not going to say anything so honestly, you're probably fine as long as you tell everyone you got a massage and don't give them any details when they realize you came back with them," Mist suggested.

"How many people can you send back in bottles?" Egwene asked, wanting to stack the deck as much as possible and trying to change the subject.

"How many times do you want me to spank your ass?" Mist asked with amusement as he walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Let's start with another fifty and go from there," Egwene told him.

"Any particular type of person you want to recruit?" Mist asked.

"Are there any worlds where Mat and I have children that can channel that you can rescue from certain death?" Egwene asked.

Mist smiled when he used his borrowed power to look through the various mirror worlds and found dozens of children without having to try all that hard that wouldn't be missed for one reason or another. "Most of them go out fighting shadowspawn or whitecloaks."

"How about children with either of Elayne's brothers?" Egwene asked, wondering if there were versions of the world where things hadn't ended tragically.

Mist frowned slightly as he checked for future mirror shards and only found a handful that he'd want to recruit. "Most of them aren't particularly strong or they're too important to steal. Stealing a prince in a way that won't cause chaos is a bit harder than a couple of villagers from the middle of nowhere."

"I figured I'd ask," Egwene replied as she rolled over so that Mist could start spanking her. "What about Rand?"

"That's almost as easy as Mat," Mist replied as he used his power to start looking for interesting people to 'rescue' before they died. "We should probably look at grabbing some people from other locations that have a decent amount of power to make sure the bloodlines are spread out."

"Sounds good. Do Rand and Lanfear ever have children that aren't completely insane?" Egwene asked, finding herself morbidly curious.

"Let me check," Mist replied as he started playfully spanking her ass while he used his borrowed power to comb through the various mirror worlds, looking for interesting people to 'rescue' and happy that he didn't have to keep track of how many times he'd spanked her ass.

"Anything?" Egwene asked after a couple of minutes.

"Nothing," Mist replied, a bit surprised that he couldn't find a single child. "I'm guessing she's either barren or the pattern never bent that far but considering her appearance, I'm going to go with the Dark One is an asshole."

"What about Aviendha and Rand or Min and Rand?" Egwene asked, not surprised that the Dark One would screw his followers over.

"We're spoiled for choices with Aviendha, less with Min," Mist replied as he summoned one of Rand's daughters from a world where the Seanchan won, causing a tall and naked red haired girl to appear in the room.

"Bloody…" Kari al'Thor trailed off as she spotted the naked girl sprawled on the bed. "What's going on? Where is the flaming sul'dam?!"

"Not here, you were about ten minutes from dying to a blade in the back when the bloodknife catches up with you, so we rescued you from the alley," Mist told her as he continued playfully spanking Egwene.

"Where are we?" Kari asked as she glanced around the room, trying to keep track of them at the same time.

"In a pocket dimension," Mist replied as he summoned one of Rand and Min's daughters from a different world that was about to get stabbed by a whitecloak, causing a tall naked teenage girl with reddish brown hair to stumble backwards as she was trying to get away from the assassin's blade.

"Shit!" Sara al'Thor cursed then froze when she realized that she wasn't in the inn anymore. "What's going on?"

"You were about a second away from getting stabbed in the chest and fifteen seconds from bleeding out after he ripped the sword out of your chest," Mist told her.

"Bloody whitecloaks," Sara complained, pissed that she'd left her sword in her room since the inn was supposed to be safe.

"Better than Seanchan, at least the whitecloaks just kill you," Kari argued.

"Bloody Seanchan," Sara complained, knowing they were going to come back with another army eventually. "Dad should have destroyed the capital when he had the chance."

"Don't worry, we're planning on dealing with both groups," Mist assured them as he summoned Egwene and Mat's daughter from a future mirror world a second before the fog in Shadar Logoth grabbed her from behind.

"Shit!" Elanna blurted out when she realized she wasn't where she was supposed to be. "Where are we?"

"In a pocket dimension, you were just about to die because of the fog in the city," Mist told her as he continued spanking Egwene's behind.

"How did we get here and why are you spanking her ass?" Sara demanded, trying not to freak out that she couldn't sense the source.

"I'm basically using a temporary ter'angreal, every time I spank her ass five times I can summon someone from another world or timeline that would have died so they can help us kill monsters," Mist explained, summing things up.

Kari shook her head. "That's not how ter'angreal work."

"I didn't make the rules, I'm just taking advantage of them to rescue a bunch of people from certain death and I said like a ter'angreal," Mist explained as he summoned one of Rand and Nynaeve's children from a different mirror world, rather amused by the series of strange events that had been required to result in that particular world.

Adrian al'Thor glanced around and froze when he saw four naked girls in the room. "Hello?"

Mist glanced at the dark haired man wearing breeches and a long sleeved shirt. "Long story short, you were shot in the back after saving a group of tinkers from the whitecoats. I rescued you so that you could get training and help us kill a dark god."

"Great, I'm starting to lose my mind," Adrian muttered, fairly sure that going mad made more sense than someone having the ability to summon people to other worlds.

"Let me try," Egwene suggested and started trying to explain things to the group as Mist continued summoning more family members from alternate worlds, causing her to have to restart several times.

Comments

It's one of those situations where there's no real good way to do things, you either explain where it's sort of safe, they can't channel or you explain in a group later...

Mist of Shadows

I think out of everything going on having to restart every few people would be the part that irritated me the most lol tftc
