Huh, glad you ended up enjoying this one that's widely regarded as one of the worst in the season (mainly because of the flaws in its execution and it's even highlighted in TVtropes as an example of a "broken Aesop", though I think that's up to interpretation), even finding alot of meaning to talk about, just as I thought would be a worthwhile thing to focus on, whatever said flaws might've been. Yeah I might mention, many fans haven't been big on the episodes where Spike is the focus (at least until season 6 onwards) and found him to do better where he's a supporting role, especially to Twilight. And lol indeed you have been a Mr. Armchair Critic at times. 😅 On the topics we explore, do you try to look beyond your outside perspective and consider how an action or motivation makes sense for someone? (And once again I make a plug in for the story/analysis "The Folly of Celestia" if you haven't checked it out already, now that you're past season 4.) Now for 2 more cents on the topic we keep revisiting lol, we should be glad these Ponies (and some people) are very forgiving, who would weigh a matter and choose such, and I consider it a legitimate response for them, even when you or others feel differently.
