Progress Update

A quick update on progress and some news about development direction. The next demo build will contain the entirety of the enviros (aside from Fitting Room) in a single explorable map.
We're currently working on polishing the environments that we haven't worked on in a while and getting them performant when they're all together, which is quite challenging so we don't exactly have a timeframe, but hopefully some time in May! This will be a turning point in development as we'll be able to start working on getting some of the story into the game, and on NPC navigation and stuff to begin making a busy and authentic feeling school life.
Demo builds from then on will also be less fragmented than now, where we release new enviros and old enviros are never seen again. We'll hopefully be able to release the full school environment each time we make improvements, so new demo-builds will actually build upon previous builds rather than being something entirely different.
We haven't worked out exactly what content we'll be releasing to Patreon supporters as we work on the story, since it's likely that we'll be releasing content all throughout the story development, but not the story itself since we don't want it to be played in fragments. Since Virtual Novel will contain many freeroam elements and minigames, it's likely that we'll release updates to the world as we progress so that people can access a sort of watered down, continuously updated sandbox mode while the story is developed.
