[Hololive] Ghost Fauna

Quick Halloween art for Mumei and Fauna done!

Sometimes I take a step back and look at my artist career and think to myself that I really made it kinda. Like I kinda was able to do everything I wanted to as an illustrator (except being able to work on the Gochiusa manga), yet I still have like the biggest imposter syndrome ever. I ask to myself, why commission me when there's like a bunch of more talented artists out there but sure, maybe my rates are cheap, maybe my schedule is really flexible or maybe I am better than I think I am.

But what I am trying to say is that honestly in whatever field you might be, no matter how good you will be I think you will still have imposter syndrome. I used to think that it might go away eventually when I get better but considering I still have it, I believe that it's normal and one should accept and understand those feelings and use those emotions to become a better person!

Anyways the goal I am working on right now is getting successful in animation and game dev and if I ever am satisfied with that I'll dabble in music. Of course that doesn't mean I stop being an illustrator, it's more like I have come to a point of diminishing returns and think that I can improve my work better if I focus on improving different areas of content creation!

Imposter syndrome is always here to make us question ourselves. Our support is a way to affirm that your art is truly great. I hope you succeed in valuing yourself as you really are! Nice to see you've found additional achievements to pursue. Wishing you all the best in your animation and game development journey! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Oh, and as always, lovely art

They have another account with just as much art? I was already confused how they have time for college! I did find their old Twitter, and oh boy, their impostor syndrome has gotten a lot more manageable since then. 😳 But this 3 year old tweet is an absolute gem: "ill reach my goal no matter what watch me" You have been watched. Congratulations on your journey so far! 🥳

My guess would be the third one: You are better than you think you are. I think the only artists who don't have impostor syndrome are the ones who haven't improved in 5 years. Your art is great, that's why we are all here. And if you are still not satisfied with it, I can't wait to see how it could get better.

Yeah, I think having imposter syndrome happens a lot sadly. I am glad you are learning how to deal with it! I for one LOVE your art. This piece is a great example! In fact, this piece might be one of my favorite! You draw Fauna so so well! I love your art style. I LOVE the outfit (I love ghosts) her sleeves are sooo cute and her headpiece is adorable! I love the combination of cute and sexy, her little hair pieces are so so cute too! Those thighs are also divine. Thank you as always Deyui, and there is no other artist I love to see more!

There's probably always gonna be someone out there who are technically better at art, but that's not all that makes people love what you create. Art is very subjective. People are usually drawn to an artist's style, ideas, vibe or individuality. Viewing art solely through an objective lens doesn’t capture its full value, especially when taste plays such a huge role. People come to enjoy your art, and not just to evaluate your skill. Personally I love your style. It's light and cute. You have a skill of making everything look beautiful, no matter the scene.

Love her! Cute outfit and smile, sexy pose and all the little sapling ghosts are adorable. Wishing you the best of luck in not fighting yourself too much on the imposter syndrome, it really does creep up on all of us and I think it's best to try to acknowledge that and make space for it. Always excited to see what you do, you've got passion and a good work ethic, the rest is up to you. 💚

If it makes you feel better for the last 3 months I've been a patron on your other acct thinking *that* was your main one while I was completely oblivious to this one Super cute ghost Fauna!

It's normal to feel that there are many other artists who might do better work, but you have to remember that you are part of them. All of your work is really of excellent quality, and whatever decision you make, we will always support you. You are not only a great artist, but also a great person and an example to follow for many. Don't break, master!
