NEW EXPLORABLE! The Wisdom and/or Madness of Crowds

An interactive guide to networks and humans:
๐Ÿ˜http://ncase.me/crowds/ ๐Ÿ˜
๐Ÿฆand a link for your re-tweeting pleasure

Thank you so much for sticking with me the past four months! Let's recap our journey, shall we? On Jan 12th, I put out a survey asking which of six ideas I should make next, and you picked Wisdom and/or Madness of Crowds. On Jan 24th, about two weeks later, I published the first public prototype! Then I took three weeks off to travel and check out DynamicLand (which I still owe y'all a writeup of). Then on Mar 10th I made the puzzle creator tool. Then two more months of slog later, we're here, it's finally done!

I am now going to curl up in a ball and not move for a week

Anyway, hope you enjoy the new explorable, and learn something new about networks and/or humans! Thank you all again so, so much for supporting me thus far~ <3

UP NEXT: I have 2 days left to start & finish my Canadian taxes

Thanks Haider! However I don't do commissions anymore โ€“ I want to focus 100% on open-source public-domain Patreon-funded stuff! However, if you'd like, here's the full open-source code for Crowds: http://github.com/ncase/crowds You can hire a different developer to modify that, if you'd like!

Been looking forward to this :D This is awesome! Good job!! Also by the way, I don't know if I'm the only one having this issue, but the page number buttons at the bottom sometimes it doesn't work? (It works at first but after a few clicks you can't click anymore)

Iโ€™ve also got a MacBook, and it seemed to run fine of safari for me!

Hey Nicky, thanks very much for this. Unfortunately it's too laggy to run on Chrome Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64-bit), MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X 10.11.6, 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Do you have any recommendations on different browsers / browser settings? I notice it runs a lot faster when the window size is reduced but then it's too small to read all of the text and perform the simulation. Thanks!

I also didn't even notice the grayed out controls on the left, only the "secret" on the right. I should've figured it out (and edited my comment before you replied).

Have you seen this? https://youtu.be/o0fDcUJMzkI

Thank you! :) And oh whoops, yeah that should say "Backspace". I don't think it works with the PC "delete" button. Will fix soon! Whooooopssss
