We’ve gone back and remastered The Princess Academy – Snowed In in full 4K, giving this older piece of PattyCake content a fresh coat of snow (and pixels). Same story, same chaos—just sharper, cleaner, and ready for the Holidays!
Here are some painstaking details for those interested 🤓: All of the original footage was shot in 4.6K BUT back when we first released this, the computing power just wasn’t there for a full 4k export. The 1080 exporting took a whopping 8‑hours to render with all of the effects AND that was if all went smoothly and there were no errors - so we were limited to 1080p export in order to get this out in time for the Holidays. Fast forward 6 years later with newer computers and faster software, we can get an 4K render in about 18 minutes. Geez! Also, one interesting little fact about YouTube is that it rewards higher quality footage and the videos tend to get higher views and longer average watch time. Yay. Thanks for nerding out with us.
