Bojack and Princess Carolyn: The "Best Thing That Ever Happened" (Unedited)
Added 2024-06-26 22:13:47 +0000 UTCThese two always had the most interesting relationship out of the main cast (in my opinion), so I was overjoyed that they were able to sustain what they had until the end of the series. The fact that they were able to stay friends despite everything that they went through is actually incredibly impressive. They started extremely codependent on one another, with Princess Carolyn always feeling the need to save Bojack, and Bojack enabling her by always searching for her help.
But, by the end of the series, they are both able to live their lives separate from one another and find their own peace and happiness. Instead of heaping their problems onto each other, they're able to deal with and work through them on their own. They can discuss what's wrong, but they don't beg the other to fix it for them, or need to use them to prop themself up.
Granted, they have their low points before they get there, but PC never actually leaves Bojack for long. She's always willing to forgive him for what he's done, and help him sort out his life for the future (even if he doesn't offer an apology). They always stick by each other and are there at the end of the day, even if it's just to hear out their complaints, which is touching to see, especially when so many had to distance themself from Bojack.
