This is a question that I've been pondering since I first watched the show. And, don't worry, because I am included in this particular demographic...but it always confused me why Mr. Peanutbutter seemed to always excel and receive tons of praise when he isn't exactly the best person. He's not as bad as other characters on the show, by any means, but he definitely receives a disproportionate amount of love compared to other characters in the show.
Some of the reasons might be more obvious than others, but I do genuinely think that Mr. PB is still a fantastically written character with a lot of depth hidden behind many layers of humor and silliness. I think when you really take a look at his arc, you can see that he does have an unhealthy pattern and eventually, in the final season, he actually crashes and loses sense of himself. I'm glad that his final season was also his most difficult, because he finally came to terms with his relationships with women and how to be comfortable with himself.
