Witch Warp WIP: Beat and Bite, the Orthrus
Added 2023-02-28 07:57:13 +0000 UTCThis is getting fun! Starting to spread into the ancillary cast now. Meet Beat and Bite, the Orthrus! Because obscure mythological creatures deserve to be monster girls too. Expect them to cause trouble for Vi and Lion on their journey.
Wanna know a secret? These two are based on our real dogs, Bea Arthur and Betty White. Well, they're my dad's dogs, but he had to move away for family matters, so the job of taking care of them fell to me. Which is a little tough, since I am NOT a dog person, and dogs need a lot of attention. What, you thought I was just taking care of my elderly mother? Nooo, no, that would be too easy. I got these two filthy little maniacs to boot. Here's another fun fact, my dad used to commute to work before dawn, so they're hardwired to be fed at roughly 3:00 or 4:00 AM every morning! I don't think I've slept a straight 7 hours in months.
Oh, don't worry, I make sure to show them plenty of affection. They're really very sweet, and they've inspired a fun couple of characters. I tried to be faithful to their personalities, so I'll tell you Beat is kind of neurotic, passive, and almost completely silent, except when her obsession with food leads her into a berserker rage. Conversely, Bite almost never shuts up and actively begs for attention. Kind of a carnival barker.
Don't mention Cerberus. Celebrity siblings tend to engender rivalry.
