No te vayas de Zamboanga - Filipino Spanish Song

A song from the Philipines written in the Spanish language by Juan Cuadrado, written for his wife and children in Zamboanga after he had to leave. The story is a plea for his beloved not to leave and a promise that, even if she does leave, he will return and they will keep in touch through letters written with a pen, paper, and the blood from his veins.

Definitely going to do more of the Philipines, my next one will be in Ilocano. And yeah the reason for the pronunciation is also out of habit: I do speak a little Spanish and the variety I learned is the European one so I tend to do it by instinct, but I'll have to be more careful in the feature when doing Spanish language songs not from Spain

Ayyy, Farya has reached the Philippines! Did not expect this honestly. Looking forward to any future takes on our hispanised folk songs (like Pobreng Alindanaw and Dandansoy), or even our indigenous music (like that of the Tboli and Igorot? Lemlunay and Soysoy ti Dagem come to mind) Somewhat confused why you used the Spanish pronunciation (z/ci/ce - θ) rather than the Latinamerican / Filipino pronunciation (z/ci/ce - s) so I googled and found out that the composer was a Spaniard so it circled back to 'oh, that makes sense'
