But I really have to say, that I fully enjoy your reactions Michael. One can see, that you are fully invested in the story and pay attention to the details. Really appreciate what you do. Now to the second part of that comment. Its going to be a little longer apologies for this in advance, also sry if someone has already wrote this. If anyone is even interested at all As a german watching Frieren is like watching a dictionary of german language, cause basically all the name in Frieren are german Words and not names but only random words. Well not so random since many words have meaning which fits the theme of the character. Not going to list all the words, but a few. The comment would just be to long then Frieren = to freeze, to shiver To freeze, or to shiver because its cold outside Himmel = Heaven Himmel is the german word for sky or heaven (In English I believe there are two translations one for the geographical and spiritual meaning, sky geographical heaven spiritual). In Germany its just Himmel. In case of the character Himmel its Heaven since it does fit his entire theme. Going to heaven “Aureole” to meet him again Eisen Is simply Iron. Which makes sense if you see how robustly his body is. Hard like iron Heiter Can be translated to joyful, happy, cheerful. Getting in a good mood cause of the alcohol he drank a lot Fern = Far or distant Stark = Strong Is simply translate to strong Flamme = Flame Well you guessed it. Is Flame. The Hair color kind of gives it away imo Kraft = Power, Strength Sein = To Be Denken = To Think Fits his name well since he does things with a rather logical and calculating manner.
