Art Competition #21 - Deadpool vs Wolverine

Thank you to everyone who submitted some art, this was an awesome comp.

Winner: Craig Stewart!
Runner up: Paul Cameron
Runner up: Adrian Sonnberger

Congratulations Craig! I love this piece, the whole setup is amazing, the foreshortening really makes this stand out. The line work is really great, the colours and rendering are awesome. Overall and great picture, you nailed it!

Hey Craig, if you could email me at pbrown.art@gmail.com, I'll organise your print, just let me know which print you'd like, you can pick from anything I've done before, you can check out my gallery here if it helps: www.patrickbrownart.com

And congrats to Paul and Adrian for the runner ups, you both did an awesome job, you were both very close to the win.

Paul, you nailed the likeness of Hugh Jackman here, looks just like him, I love the pose too. Great work!

And Adrian, You've put a lot of effort into this! I especially love looking in the background and seeing all the guys on the floor, in pieces haha! And the details in the room around them, it's really nice to see and helps so much. I love the dramatic angle, having that tilt really adds drama. Great job on the two fighting as well, they look great.

Swipe across to see all other entries, you all did a great job! I hope you all enjoyed this, don't be disheartened if you didn't get 1st place, this is all about putting your art out there and it's great practice. Every piece you create is you leveling up, you learn new things each time and become better and more experienced.

I'll post up the next art comp soon.

I saw a presentation by Ron Lemen where he said to study actions that are paused from video (like movies) instead of reference photos of people posing in action stances to learn how to give them more energy

Hey everyone! This was really fun! It's so cool to see all the submissions - so many ideas and so much humorous storytelling, too. Thank you so much Patrick for choosing me as a runner up! I'm so happy, that my Ideas for the piece seem to work. (light, composition, anatomy...) I feel, I struggle with one thing in particular: dynamic and movement in the characters. Mine seam always so stiff - almost as two action figures put in front of a camera :-D Craig, I think it's for many reasons a well deserved win and the dynamic in your artwork is one of many things I can actually learn from! :-) That's why I think this challenges are so much fun and worth participating. Thank you Patrick for this great opportunity!
