oops, hit send when I meant to kept going lol But to keep things short, I liked most of the shows you mentioned, although I didn't gel with Wild Thornberrys as much, aside from the movie, which I begged my mom to see for whatever reason and we both came out enjoying it. Actually, I do also remember the Donnie's origin special being pretty good, as well. For some reason, it seemed like that show did better in longer form than in regular episodes IMO. I also don't think that Fairly Odd Parents holds up either, but I did like the show for a little while too. Like you, I never clicked with CatDog or SpongeBob, but I did like Ren & Stimpy. Although that's another show with an awful creator... Oh, I also missed out on Arthur, since that aired when DBZ would, and there was no way I was missing that lol. What I saw was decent, though. My favorite series from that period that you didn't mention was Ed, Edd n' Eddy. It's pretty dumb on one level, but going back to it, the writing can be VERY sharp, and there's some added depth that makes it hold up now. I also loved a lot of the classics that were airing on Cartoon Network, like the Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera stuff.

2021-02-15 04:19:40 +0000 UTCFinally got around to watching this! We’re basically the same age it seems, so our shows seem to have overlapped a lot. Rugrats was definitely a favorite when I was younger, although I faded out of it after a certain point, I think after the All Growed Up special. Watching some of it now though, and you’re right, it is a clever and unique show, and I love that Tommy is half Jewish. The Passover and Hanukkah specials are incredible.
