How to make really good guac
Added 2019-02-07 17:45:41 +0000 UTCIn light of the whole "store-bought guac is celery" thing, here's my from-scratch guac recipe to comfort you in this harsh new reality. The measurements are imprecise because that's guac bayBEE, follow your HEART.
Ingredients
-3 Avocados
-1 shallot
-cilantro
-1 tomato (or 1 can of already diced tomatoes drained of excess liquid, your call)
-1 lime
-Tabasco
-kosher salt
Directions
1. Dice the tomato, chop up the cilantro, brunoise the shallot (if you can't do a profesh brunoise, don't worry--just try to cut the shallot as small as possible without turning it to mush, basically)
2. Smoosh avocado meat in a bowl (I like to leave some chunk for texture but that's your call)
3. Stir in the shallot, cilantro and tomato
4. Season with Tabasco, salt, and lime juice to taste, then give a good stir again
5. Eat that bitch
