Install information for the UPCOMING Pure update
Added 2024-11-26 17:14:11 +0000 UTCPure 2.35 will feature a new installer since for the past few months there have been issues when installing Pure.
In case Microsoft Defender and the Smart Screen feature are being used it is most likely that some files are not correctly unpacked if Windows Explorer is used for extraction.
For that reason I decided to upgrade to a self-extracting archive. The only obstacle is that the executable requires manual verification in case Smart Screen is active.
The executable uses the RAR unpacking method that doesn't include further scripts which run before or after unpacking.
After many tests this appears to be a safe method for Installing Pure with MS Defender and Smart Screen active - even without WinRAR or 7zip.
Pure 2.35 will be released on December 2, 2024
For this Pure update the focus lies on visual enhancements for the skydomes, the scenery and post-processing.
