The future of Pure

After many attempts to transform Pure to support “Linear Color Space” (LCS), I came to the conclusion that Pure utilizes too many workaround strategies to look great in “Gamma Color Space” (Gamma). Unfortunately, those workarounds turned out to be incompatible with LCS shaders. So I had no choice but to take drastic measures in order to ensure long term compatibility with LCS.
Pure 0.271 is being renamed to “Pure Gamma” and is now considered version 1.0. Pure in its current state is a done deal for me. Its lighting calculations are, in my opinion, absolutely suitable and the optimum that can be achieved with Gamma shaders.
However, to achieve even better results with LCS, I decided to build the future Pure on an already existing and functional basis.
I use the “default” weather style from Ilja and will incorporate all the features that make Pure so special:
The skydomes, its realistic light levels in daylight condition, extended ambient lighting, the advanced exposure calculation, its scripting interface and therefore the interface for modders as well as the control via Pure Config are part of the new “Pure LCS”.
The initial release of Pure LCS at the beginning of July will contain all of Pure's basic elements. The follow up release in early September will add skydomes and Pure's shaders, such as sunblinding-, groundfog-, lightning- and the landscape shader. With this update the basic re-work will be completed and a new foundation for further development is created.
Currently all Pure LCS features are working so nothing stands in the way of an early July release.

2024-09-01 19:43:47 +0000 UTCHi, ever since I installed CSP 0.2.5 the allocated wiper buttons no longer work, only when I have "Turn wipers on and off automatically" in weather effect can I have wipers. Although they do not work if it is not raining, but the track is still wet. I can't see where I am going :-(

2024-09-01 18:31:14 +0000 UTCYou need CSP 0.2 at least like described in the Pure update post. I guess you did not install it right. What error do you get? Open CSP Lua Debug app in-game. If there is a red dot, switch to that tab, expand the error and make a screenshot.

Link your Discord account in Patreon settings - more - connected apps and you will automatically connected and get a role to access the Pure channels.

2024-08-11 16:05:33 +0000 UTCYes everything is installed properly to my knowledge I've not had any issues with it all but figured things were still under construction when I say the empty skybox. I have not been able to figure out how to properly set up pp filters there are so may to choose from that I've made a real mess with them that I'm working on getting figured out. Most all PP filters for me are way, way to dark way to dark. I'll get it figured I'm sure it's my fault somewhere.

2024-08-11 14:45:57 +0000 UTCThere is no LCS skybox. If you select Pure Gamma, you use Gamma shaders automatically. If you use Pure LCS, you use LCS shaders automatically. For now Pure LCS has no Skydomes and shaders like lightnings or groundfog. This will come with the next version early September.

Now when I use Gamma setting with LCS box ticked that is where I get confused with what is actually being displayed. Thank you for the input

2024-08-01 17:48:39 +0000 UTCwell the install video recently changed after being the same for ages with .bat files. that is why. people were used to updating with .bats files. recently Pure updates after the great Ilja updates have got worse.. its like Pure should just stick to 0.179.. as it seems Pure has gone backwards in the last year, while CSP has made Pure redundant, except for skydomes.

No download link..... Open your eyes.... Frankly, it pollutes the comments, we have the impression of having to deal with elementary school children! Pour quelle raison faut-il que Peter répète constemment les mêmes choses à chaque mise à jour ? Pas d'install.bat..... regardez la vidéo d'installation... Pas de pluie.... Aucun rapport avec Pure. Pas de lien de téléchargement ..... Ouvrez les yeux.... Franchement, ça polue les commentaires, on a l'impression d'avoir à faire à des enfants de cours élémentaires !

If you open the ingame CSP Lua Debug app and there is 1 or more red points, then you didn't install it right. If there is a red dot an error occurs and slows down the whole system and the graphics are broken. So please install it right!

Imo AC/CSP will still live further and there will be new features that will keep it relevant besides the new racing games. It's all about how easy it is creating a mod. If AC EVO has the ability to do mods on the graphics/weather side, sure I will have look on it and try something. But actually there are too less informations right now to even do speculation about it.

2024-06-14 17:17:08 +0000 UTCLooks great dude, the only issue I can see is the nightime photos- I wish the light was more evenly distributed rather then it just gets cut off. Almost like a dropoff in the ocean, None the less it looks very nice!!!
