You must deactivate the auto wipers in weatherFX! And speed 1 is the interval. If you have still Sol installed, please uninstall it. The Sol Planner app and the Sol weather app have their own wiper control, which might interfere your wiper control.

Is there a way to start a race with Pure live weather by default? It always starts with 'Day' tab enabled somehow and i have to select Live tab manually every time i start a race. I already checked the 'Use live' box in Drive > Weather > Pure > Use live. Edit: i now see whats going on. It actually does start in Live weather mode, but when i reopen the app it reverts to 'Day'. Not touching the app leaves it in Live mode.

7 zip became an issue since like 2 month! Windows Defender blocks it, because it thinks it is a trojan. That's why the new install method does not use 7zip anymore. And this is sad, because off that stupid Defender a great software is killed...

Ok, so it looks like something was off the first time I downloaded the pure mod. When I ran the debug it showed several missing files. I downloaded it again and the files are there. I use 7-Zip which generally shouldn't be an issue. Either way it does seem to be working. I did another fresh install and it's fine now. That being said I use both Linux and Windows and it appears to be working on both since I cross tested to check. The only thing I can't seem to get rid of is the lightning warning. It just flickers and doesn't let me select anything but that is a separate issue. I really appreciated the feedback and love the work that you do for this.

there are many new windows issues, like microsoft defender prevents copying files and such. If you have winrar, please open the Pure zip with it and mark the 4 folders apps, content, extension and system and use "extract" in winrar. It seems this will bypass some problems when doing it with windows explorer. The most problems with this install are caused by windows and defender...

I really appreciate the quick response. I've been working in IT for 15 ish years so I definitely understand how to follow a simple tutorial video. I will check what you said and see if I can pull some info from the debug app. Might be able to solve it myself at that point. If for some reason I am still unable to get it to work. I will do another clean install and take a screen recording of me doing exactly what the video states and the results as it may help us to understand what is going on.

Sorry, but then it is NOT installed like it is shown in the video! If there is an error, the system slows down and you get those low fps. If you open the ingame CSP Lua Debug app, you will see a red dot. If you see multiple red dots, then you miss to install the needed CSP version! Maybe use the chat in the "Community" section to post a picture of the CSP Lua debug app.

If you have still Sol installed please deactivate Sol Planner and Sol weather app! They are not compatible with the new rain amounts. Also, Pure does not influence wipers anymore. The control is done by weatherFX itself and you can activate the automatic wiper control in weatherFX settings. Or you use keys, which you define in the AC controls menu

Don't activate the "race line" option in RainFX settings. Maybe go to your Document/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension folder and delete the rain_fx.ini. then restart CM and try again. It will create a new in with blank settings and this debug option is deactivated then. You must have it activated by accident....

Is the sunblinding incompatible with godrays? When I activate it I have no godrays at all. Morever, when I enable it I can see the sunblinding header on the menu blinking repeatedly all the time. Just use screenshots then. If you open the in-game Lua debug app and there is 1 or more red dots the install is not properly done. Just switch to the tabs with the red dots and expand the error Maybe it's also a try if you have WinRAR , open the pure zip and select the 4 folder apps, content, extension and system. Then use the "Extract" button and select the AC root folder.

I can't fix this. Rain is part of CSP and not Pure. The track needs a rain config. This config is distributed via the track config by the track modder or CM. Just try Kunos default tracks. They should have rain configs.

Correct, some circuits are not full CSP. I have the same "problem" which is not a problem in reality, it comes from the circuit not from CSP and even less from Pure Exact, certains circuits ne sont pas full CSP. J'ai le même "problème" qui n'en est pas un en réalité, cela vient du circuit pas de CSP et encore moins de Pure.

I can't really do much there. Pure just sets the values for rain, but rain is part of CSP. Be sure CM loads the latest track configs automatically in CM settings CSP track configs.

Its ok to have this Sol weather. They are just for compatibility reasons. But if you would have the right CM version (0.82633....) You would NOT see controller and weather script in weatherFX. You then would see the right weather selection dropdown. So please watch the install video and install all needed parts...

Thanks for your comment. I used the uninstall_sol__install_pure link in pure0.271 folder. Open CM again, weatherFX both have Pure v1.121 controller script and weather script pure0.271. In drive tab under weather, there is a SOL tab with 30+ SOL weather script, and not any pure.

When I moved my AC to a new drive, I got 2 AC version, my original version located in x:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa with Pure 0.271 installed, and a Kunos only version located in x:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\assettocorsa where I try to install pure, and that don't get well, all sky is black no matter what weather I select, even the standard. Can I do this???

If there is still an older version, first try to install it manually like it is shown in the Pure install video! Tab which means there is an error. Mostly this is because not all the files are copied over. If you have WinRAR, just try to use the "Extract" function to unpack the 4 folder of the Pure mod!

The weather style don't need to be compatible for VR. Only Pure's own shader need to be compatible for the VR rendering. The most problems are with activated Single Pass Stereo. But on the other side, Pure has some optimizations for VR in terms of exposure and color control. So yes it is compatible with VR.

In content manager, if looking at a car in content tab, you'll see (Showroom) & (CM Showroom) opening Showroom options, it has a setting to use enable CSP Showroom. Allows for taking photos of cars using configs to add rims and details etc, that you can only see ingame or in this showroom as CM Showroom doesnt show them

Hi! Sorry for asking here, but I tried to find somewhere like Discord to do it, with no luck. OK... I'd like to edit the rain preset and add a little bit of fog to it. I've managed to do it, but don't know how/where to save it to make it persistent in the default rain preset. If I choose rain from the weather list, it doesn't load my changes. Thanks for you work for the community, it makes the game more and more alive. PS.: I've found the Discord Server. It is the same as the SOL one, right!? I'll ask there then, but I'll keep the question here by any chance. PS.2: Never mind, I have no permission to post anything in the Server, like "pure-support-help" or "pure-general-chat"... so... the question remains here.

Yes, it shows some turbulences if the car drive through the fog billboards. But it uses some more GPU and therefore I deactivated it by default. The more cars you have the more calculations are possibly needed.

PPfilter have nothing to do with LCS. It does not matter if you use gamma or LCS shaders. PureLinear is a special filter to have less distorted colors through to postprocessing. So shaders (gamma or LCS) are the first stage of the render pass, where the lighting is created. PPfilters are the last pass in the render sequence. Both are independent to each other

Open Pure Planner in-game and select the live tab. You have 4 options on the right side to unlink parameters like time/date, rain and such. So if you unlink time/date you have live weather, but you can set time and date freely.

Hi Peter, not sure if already discussed somewhere else, but this is due to the same limit the Sunblinding shader has... it doesn't work with SIngle Pass Stereo on in VR Tweaks. As sooon as that function is unchecked, it works as intended. ( tested with CSP 2.3.p1 ) At least thats my experience. One other thing to note, if you put both Groundfog and Sunblinding shaders on simultaniously, the Sunblinding shader goes haywire in the PureConfig app, alternating really fast between green/red in the UI. I guess you have the newest CSP preview 0.2.3p211!? It's a bug in extraFX in that version. You must set MSAA to 2x and don't use the "Custom" video option in the resolution settings!

Pure has no wiper control. You can activate or deactivate it in weatherFX settings. Deactivate Sol Planner and Sol weather app if you still have Sol installed. Those apps have their own wiper control also with an automatic mode. (but its not compatible with the new rainFX)

is it just me or are wipers now broken? for whatever reason my wipers are automatic, which they are not set to in settings, so whenever i drive on some servers, the amount of rain is waaaay to much and the wiper stays on speed 1 causing me to be completely blind. speeding up or slowing the wipers does nothing, it reverts back to the speed "it" wants and i cant do anything to fix it... i googled that issue aswell and people are saying it has to do with some SoL settings, whenever i follow their instructions i am literally lead nowhere were there is no such setting for me.. how to i fix this? rain legit is undriveable for me now because the wipers have a mind of their own lol

Amazing update, thanks so much as I have been waiting for this for a long time. I do have a an issue in VR in which I can see a duplicate of portions of the image. e.g: I see two fences, with one of them moving as I move my head. I have already tried to disable foveated rendering with no luck. I will keep troubleshooting to isolate.

"Groundfog" shader is active by default and and is sensible to the weather settings. So if the weather is Haze, Mist, Fog, Dust, Sand or Smoke, the shader will already draw ground fog. But you can also dial in mist or humidity in any other weather and the shader will create ground fog! If there is not mist dailed in and non of those foggy weather are selected, groundfog shader is bypassed...

Peter, I just want to commend you on your willingness to wade into the LCS waters. I know that when LCS dropped, it was a significant change, and change can be a tremendous burden to developers. You could try "pure" for a moderate look and "pureCandy" if you like more eye candy. Every ppfilter has its extra settings in Pure Config app "PP" tab. There you can dial in some extras.

Did you already check Pure 0.270 and did you see that the visual difference is very minor. Sure it renders better in some ways, but the overall difference is realy small. I guess 50% of the users will not see it if you do an uncommented comparison. Actually i think most people would choose gamma shaders, because of the higher contrast. And this is what actually happens in the default weather style with LCS mode. Its a completely different weather style and has much more sun light compared to ambient light and so the contrast is way bigger and more contrast is always a wow factor but makes absolutely no sense when you are trying to achieve an overall useable visibility and trying to imitate eye dynamics on LDR. So i matched the LCS and gamma mode and the difference is very little. Sure LCS is better! But imo most people will not see it...

There should not be a big difference in ppfilters in gamma or lcs. There are some bugs in LCS where you don't have the right godrays graphics and such. The problem is, with the default weather style you switch completelly different weather styles when switching LCS on / off. But that should never be the case. There is actually no scenario where you can base something on it. Thats why Pure has matched LCS and gamma mode and the Pure compatible filters should look similar too. Idk about filters made for default wfx and LCS mode. But it will not have a big future, because this will be always changing with every new CSP version. So CSP will bring a stability here.

Pure now has a LCS mode too. The weather style needs to support LCS. LCS is not a general option in weatherFX settings. Pure's LCS mode has the advantage, that gamma and lcs mode are matched. So the weather style does not look completely different like the default weather style in lcs mode. So you only have the visual differences of the 2 different shader sets (gamma and lcs shaders) But Pures LCS mode is not a proper integration for now. It works only good at daytime. The current LCS mod in Pure is just a proof of concept and it will have a proper integration in the near future. You need to activate LCS for Pure in the weatherFX settings, if you like to test it!

If you open Pure Config app and switch to the "Shader" tab, you will see a red "groundfog" group if the track has no AI spline. So actually all tracks where you can race against AI.

There is nothing wrong. You have and will have a working Pure - always! LCS is just an option and it will always be an option. If you don't select LCS in weatherFX, Pure will always FULLY work. So for future versions i will release updates like now. The changes i'll make now are only in the LCS mode. The first step will be the world lighting (ambient, sunlight and such) thats my goal for the next 2 month. Then i will release a new version, where you can see the progress. BUT this will not interfer the non LCS mode of Pure!

Hi Peter, only just one question, I downloaded the stockholm map from 4R (The latest map) but after i played in-game, only whitish buildings appeared, literally with no colors and like plain minecraft graphics. Do you think it is related to pure or the map itself or from CSP? what do you think? Thanks

This has nothing to do with ppfilters. "Groundfog" shader is active by default and and is sensible to the weather settings. So if the weather is Haze, Mist, Fog, Dust, Sand or Smoke, the shader will already draw ground fog. But you can also dial in mist or humidity in any other weather and the shader will create ground fog!

I think you did not understand. You activate LCS as an option in weatherFX. So Pure will always have this 2 modes. If it is not activated, you are working with the older CSP gamma shaders. Pure will always work in both modes. LCS has nothing to do with weather. CSP Gamma and LCS shaders are 2 different sets of shaders. The lighting calculation in the LCS shaders is different, but this has nothing to do with the weather! Just test it with the current 0.270 version. If you activate the "Developer option" in weatherFX settings, you can switch Gamma and LCS with the space bar. And then you will see there is not that big difference...

Thanks Peter for all you do, can't thank you enough. We been doing some test run on our tracks both in LCS and Pure- to make sure we are both compatible and this Pure is lifesaver for WeatherFX controller but I know you're still working on it. Love the fog feature- we just did a Highland hybrid track to test now this Pure on weather like those.

If you open Pure Config app and switch to the "Shader" tab, you will see a red "groundfog" group if the track has no AI spline.

I always said it needs a tremdous work, because Pure needs to be rebuild. It has still bug on CSP and Pure side, but it solves some fundamental problems. BUT the difference lays in the details! Its not that big change like it is represented in the default weather style. Thats the thing i want to get right now with this LCS integration. You can use this Pure version to have a reference for the LCS gamma differences. And now i start rebuilding Pure....

I am really shocked. I thought you where against implementing LCS. I am sorry if I misunderstood that, if I didn't, what made you come around. The user feedback (even if it has been far from constructive in a lot of cases) or the feature itself convincing you in a way you hadn't though about prior. Anyways insanely good/cool work this mod is extremely impressive and really something to be proud about👍

Linear Color Space Disclaimer: You need CSP 0.2.3p211 or later for LCS! Please be aware that the current LCS integration only works at daytime for now. A full rebuild of Pures code is required to make linear color space function properly. Please don't report ANY issues regarding LCS mode !!! Please don't do it !!! There are still bugs both on the CSP and Pure side. But full LCS support will likely be a thing of the near future. I already started re-writing the Pure base code and I'll keep posting updates so you can keep track of Assetto Corsas transformation into a more modern looking game!
