2024-04-07 05:50:25 +0000 UTCIts not a versus, but like every big part in CSP, it takes a long time to fix the bugs. Just look at rain, one of the biggest part in CSP. And LCS is a major change, if not the biggest change ever happend in CSP. So for me its the chance to develop things for a stable base (CSP 0.2 - 0.2.3p1) and wait until the major bugs are fixed. In the background i try to implement LCS, BUT it could also be that the visual improvements are not realy visible for the most people. So this work has no real priority on my list.

2024-04-06 23:12:11 +0000 UTCPure is a weatherFX style/script. But actually Pure does not use it and will not use it in the near future. I already work on the integration of LCS but imo it's not really worth it. It creates tons of new problems and the visual difference is minor. So just check the default weather style and switch it on and off and then change to Pure and tell me what looks more realistic. I did my comparisons and imo Pure already looks way more realistic. So actually there is no real benefit of LCS for Pure. Actually it will only make more troubles now. Maybe in the future Pure will support it, but imo most people will not really see the difference.

I don’t think you see much turbulence in real life either , maybe if the car thins the fog “fake effect like you mentioned” just for visual effect :) I hope head lights effect it to make beams :)

2024-04-05 09:11:37 +0000 UTCYes, it appears that it calculates fog along the AI spline using altitude to determine where to place more/less of it. The manual plotting allows you to override this if you want to deliberately place some fog, or remove some, at a given place.

That's not in any way a discredit to this work, But if i want to load and drive/race, I presume that the ground fog will determine high and low altitudes on the track and splines and auto apply and adjust? For Photography, I absolutely get it, but based on a personal view, and i'm sure others may agree that do just want to load and drive :) Also, How does it look in the dark? ;)
