Some lore in case this makes no sense: Anuboids bodies/technology/society run on highly purified Animus. It just lets them be physically, intellectually and spiritually superior that's all. Everything they do is very ordered and highly ritualized.
They aren't saints, though. Certain cults will bring virile "lower" life forms to their hidden planet. They will then breed with them, causing their pure animus flow to be corrupted by crude dirty off world animus. This gets them HIGH AS FUCK and twice as horny. For spiritual enlightenment, of course!
