I keep trying out new shading techniques. That looks pretty nice now, but when I go to add colors it will just turn into a god awful childs fingerpainting.
APOLOGIES FOR THE VAGOONA if you're not into that. Just focus on the walfpeen.

No tutorials. But with this I tried laying in the value first on a black and white layer. Then setting it to overlay or something over a flat color layer. It didnt work though haha
