Drinking in the office comes down to company culture, Iโve worked for companies that literally supplied drinks for every Friday afternoon, while we worked. Sales driven companies are entertaining clients over dinner anyways, and thereโll be drink had there. In the office though? Yeah, if itโs someoneโs birthday, maybe. Comes down to the culture of the company. Unfortunately weโve a national culture of dinking so itโs often used / misused for team bonding sessions. Seems excessive in the daytime for someoneโs birthday though. Productivity inevitably slumps afterwards. If everyoneโs birthday was celebrated like that, youโd never get any work done! I think the national cultureโs changing for the better here tho. 24:44 lol Mandy, really getting a sense of the cringe in David Brentโs lip-biting, fingers interlaced gesture by imitating it. Did you know you can actually identify very specific emotions by embodying the posture and expression of the person youโre mimicking, if you pay enough attention to detail, and they hold a strong emotion long enough for you to copy. I've tried it a few times, it's a great body language exercise. So did you get a glimpse into the mind of Brent there with your reenactment? It feels like heโs squishing putty between his fingers, very self satisfied ๐ Sometimes people overlook how odd and fixated the mythical mockumentary cameramen must be to capture some of those candid shots, like zooming in on Timโs discrete behind-the-back caress, and waiting afterwards to capture the naughty business in the carpark, like - how long would the cameraman be discretely loitering in the carpark after the party to capture that end-credit scene? I joined a new place a couple of years ago and was surprised to be offered champagne at Christmas. Also things stopped to enjoy some mulled wine haha. I don't drink but it was a culture shock, although not in a bad way. Its a much more chilled environment etc.

2023-10-12 03:51:29 +0000 UTCSuch a funny episode. Awkward cringe at it's best. Gareth is as bad as Brent ! :) Three moments I'm still waiting to see, so expect some good stuff still to come. One of which I hope you'll just burst when you see it :) Fantastic reaction as always. As for the XFM radio shows, from memory, I'd say maybe skip Season 0 (as it's called). Karl isn't in it much and it's mainly Ricky and Steve. If you like that though, then then start from the beginning. On the audio we have, there is music played in between the conversations. Most have the music cut out (just hearing the intro/outro) but some don't, so editing will be required. Just a heads up. Another fanastic RSK double-bill today. Super brilliant. And if you need to ask about cars, I'm available. I'm not a mechanic but I do all my own work on the car (providing I have the means). So be happy to help with whatever. And car detailing is my thing too. :)

2023-10-11 18:41:17 +0000 UTCi have too much to say here mandy, but i can't remember it all or type as fast as you speak ๐ค but answer to one of your questions is no, you're generally not allowed to drink in an office, but their are different policies, like if it is a private company as opposed to local council's, then thats different. But i have definatly drunk everything from wine to whiskey in my various office environments ๐คญ
