Added 2017-08-19 02:58:14 +0000 UTCBoy, I thought the basketball stuff last month was tough to film, but strangely, I found this month's simple sit-and-talk to be an even more exhausting shoot! It may have something to do with my decision to use a CRANE for nearly every shot. But I think we got some good stuff.
New kind of stuff...
Captain Disillusion can be summarized as "skepticism + VFX". Sometimes I've done just "skepticism", but I've never really done just "VFX". Well, I'm finally giving it a try! The next video will initiate a new sub-genre on the channel: video essays in which I discuss, in a more technical and "academic" way, the visual effects of specific movies.
But don't worry, it'll still have all the same graphical flare, weird acting and barely-perceptible jokes that Captain D is known for.
Can you guess which movie I'm starting with? I BET YOU CAN. (Hint, there are more than one and less than 4 of them.)
