I think I'm actually gonna pull it off and finish a second video for this month. But it will be another weird one. The whole thing is a parody of a well-known After Effects tutorial series. I'll recreate a UFO video from YouTube, step-by-step, in the style of Andrew Kramer from Video Copilot, but I'll also try to have Captain D snark in there... it's walking a weird line and I just hope people will find it watchable.
In order to make it look like a continuous screen capture but still retain the ability to edit and manipulate everything on the screen, I had to figure out a way to switch between a real computer interface and fake animated compositions constantly and make it completely seamless. I'm pretty happy with the results. But it's disorienting using After Effects to animate an After Effects interface. I can't wait to be done!
