The Forge: The Look of Pratchett
Added 2019-01-23 22:24:37 +0000 UTC
Hello, helpful humans, engineers, and artificers!
There'll be no reading attached to this upcoming Forge session, as I more or less have all I'm going to need to begin the writing for the first script at this point. Instead, we're going to discuss something I've been wracking my brain over since I started reading Pratchett: what does Pratchett/Discworld look like?
This is largely about the video's thumbnail, intro sequence, and the common imagery I'm going to use throughout the video. There should be a lot of meat in this topic, and it could be a lot of fun in that some of what we discuss is very likely to end up in the video itself in some form.
So, prepare your brains for a storm! There's inclement weather ahead.
The Foundry Forge
When: Friday, February 1st, 6:30-7:30pm CST
Where: The Tale Foundry Discord server, in the #the-foundry-forge and #the-foundry-forge-voice channels. Make sure your Patreon account is linked to your Discord account in order to participate (click here to see how). Only Engineers ($10+ patrons) can type in chat, but all patrons can watch and listen.
Topic: This time we'll be discussing the visuals for the forthcoming Terry Pratchett episode, as well as the general aesthetics of Pratchett's work and Discworld.
Remember: It's a "forge" session because the ultimate goal is to learn and make something up together. Be ready to give your thoughts and your opinions, and feel free to share any resources you might have at your disposal!
Hope to see you all there!
