Progress Update: Stones from My Pockets

Good (thirty minutes past) Monday, helpful humans!
Since the video's come out, this marks the first official week of work for Tale Foundry's 2019 year. I took last week to get some ducks in a row and manage some Patreon stuff, but now it's back to video creation. And this year, we're going to be kicking things off with a Patreon drive!
Let's talk about it.
Where are we now?
We're all eager for the Terry Pratchett series—especially everyone who's been joining in on the Forge sessions—but it'll be just a smidge longer yet.
For the last several months, maybe even the last half-year, I feel like I've just barely managed to tread water. It's a wonder, too, because I was filling my pockets with just about every stone I could pick up during that time. This'll be a period I look back on fondly as one of those make-or-break pieces of my career. When that time comes, I'm sure I'll talk about it in more depth. But just now I'm feeling extremely grateful only to be breathing without an effort.
Now the task is to get this whole operation properly afloat, and after the demonetization and the loss of Chloe on the team, it'll take some doing.
Part of that effort is a re-imagining of our goals as a community. So with this video, I'm going to establish some actual, tangible, show-changing rungs on the ladder to a full, functional team that can help me get the show out much faster and achieve a whole lot else beside.
A lot is riding on this drive, but no matter how it comes out I feel like this is the year Tale Foundry finds its legs.
It's good to be more excited than stressed again.
What's Next?
Well, I already mentioned Terry Pratchett. The Worldbuilding series took so long to wade through in the middle of all our back-end turmoil that Pratchett feels like the a golden oasis shimmering on the desert horizon.
Yet still, between us and Pratchett there's the patreon drive, and then I'll be gone for about a week at Vidcon London, which should be an excellent, rejuvenating thing, if a little bit of a time sink.
So Pratchett? Let's reasonably look forward to the first Pratchett video going up at around the beginning of March. I know that's still a ways off yet, and I'm as eager as any of you to get it under way.
Just hold out with me for a little longer, and Tale Foundry will be moving faster than it ever has. I'm hoping to be there, easily, by the end of 2019.
In the meantime, thank you for being my companions on this journey. It's an exciting thing, and although Chloe has gone away, it's hard to feel quite alone when you're all here with me.
To the new year. ❤️
