Hello, Helpful Humans and Engineers of the foundry!
Our next Forge session is in a mere two days! That means it's time to finish up your reading if your following along, or squeeze in a spare glance at the sparknotes page.
We should start making some really meaningful progress toward targeting the ways in which Pratchett maintains his tone throughout his works. This definitely isn't going to be a sessions to miss.
The Foundry Forge
When: Friday, December 21st, 6:30-7:30pm CST
Where: The Tale Foundry Discord server, in the #the-foundry-forge and #the-foundry-forge-voice channels. Make sure your Patreon account is linked to your Discord account in order to participate (click here to see how). Only Engineers ($10+ patrons) can type in chat, but all patrons can watch and listen.
Topic: This time we'll be searching for material to use in our forthcoming Terry Pratchett series in his book Hogfather. We'll be focusing on tone, the ways in which Pratchett maintains a consistent tone, and what that allows him to do.
Remember: It's a "forge" session because the ultimate goal is to learn and make something up together. Be ready to give your thoughts and your opinions, and feel free to share any resources you might have at your disposal!
